Congrats!! which dealer did you go to? I booked mine on 1 Aug and was told estimated delivery in Oct -_-

Wish you good luck ... When i did my booking last month, they tell me estimated delivery time for 320i is November, they even show me the system and they say will try to be early if there's stock, if someone's loan doesn't approve or etc...

BMW shud be shameful of this unbelievable slow response towards issues on their qualities..but this may also shows that they actually dont even bother bout it..

btw, how about steering rack on ur car? still having similar issue?

You may go test drive both car before make decision
I bet you get addict to 320i after drive it
But please don't jump into 328i like me or else you will not able to pull yourself away!!! LOL!!!

Using this car for sales job ... jamming every day in KL

Brother Jeffrey63,

If you are using the car for sales job,
I strongly suggest you go for 320d, far far away better for the fuel consumption.

320d is not advisable by my mechanic ... =D
320i also can't get any ...

now i being screw up by my sales advisor which con me to purchase from AB sungai besi

Was being told that, confirm i can get my unit by August 15, now it is already 16, earlier i got an offer from ingress as they have stock for my color, and the AB say everything is on her side, what sime darby biggest share holder and they have guarantee stock

Today didn't answer my call some more... OMG !!

Need help to complain and screw them already ... even loan need to do by myself and everything approve only she call me .. and say, oh i didn't promise u earlier but will find one stock for you, DAMN !

Just cancel your booking with her la.
You can always buy from other dealers and get the SA to transfer your booking fee.
Normally they willing to absorb the penalty imposed, if any.
Check around bro, not worth all your anguish while buying a BMW where we should be enjoying better exclusive services for the price paid.

316 will not be same as 320 and 320 will not be same as 328 how matter u tune it. 28k diff is not much as compare to hp diff. Ur buying a new car so better think carefully. Patience is virtue, I rather wait than regret.

316i with the race chip ultimate (at a cost of RM3k) can be tuned to almost stock 320i (yup brothers?). Price difference between 316i and 320i is almost rm40k. For rm40k difference, all i see is slightly bigger engine. Exterior and suspension all the same.. See what you can do with rm40k savings??

Plus road tax only rm90 for 316i :). Again, depends on how aggressive you want to drive the car and how much cash you have to sustain that aggressiveness.

Price diff between 316i and 320i is about 30k+ only. I highly doubt the race chip can tune the 316i hp to match the 320i just like how the 320i cannot be tuned to match 328i by just a piggyback alone. There is more work needed to be done.

I think the 316i in sports mode is good for short spirited drive but I cannot help wonder if the car already has the potential but just need a bit of electronics to boost the throttle response to make it feel fast. After all, it is all about feel and driving experience in a BMW.

Even my e90 320 feels so sluggish and underpowered for the brilliant chasis. I guess the best compromise for Economy and performance will have to be the diesel version. What if they bring the 316i diesel with 260nm of torque? Then it will make it such an easy choice.

Have to agree on the torque part with the 316i. My wife drives an Exora Bold and the pick-up on that is waaay better. 316i feels a bit sluggish.

a 316i owner may wish his car had more oomph. no different from some 328i owners I know, hence the thousands they spend on upgrades.

any car can be deemed slow, or fast, depending what you compare it with. best we make our purchase with both eyes open, and fully aware of the circumstances leading to the choice we made.

sorry, i'm abit noob over here, what do you mean the torque part difference? Your wife Exora (proton) is way bettER?

Exora Bold is turbo too.. but I presumed it's lighter than the F30...

Car manufacturer also emphasize on POWER when selling the car... But it's actually the TORQUE which drives the car majority of the time..

Anyway, there's not replacement for displacement... If you compare a F30 316i to the older E90 320i, I would say it's better with the higher torque, even though it has less horsepower on paper.. But if compare to the F30 320i, than it's different story since it's got a 'snail'.. Depends what you want loh... If u think u can do with 316i without the extra oomph, nothing wrong with it, as long as u made the decision weighing the 'needs' and 'wants'...

Stock 316 - 220Nm
0-100 in 9.2s

Exora Bold - 205Nm
0-100 in 13.3s

R u sure your 316 is more sluggish than the Exora??
