Steptronic. No problem running it with the Procede. By the way, the tuning can be Off and On as and when you require it :top: It is by default Off and I will only On it if I wanna play play with it.

Buy M3 la.....

Ok thanx..great stuff! Considering a 4door 335i 2007 UK spec, next to a brand new Audi A4 2.0 Quattro.Problem with the Audi is that I've to wait till july before I get my car.
So,long wait for a brand new Audi OR recond 3yr old UKspec e90 335i.

I have PM you bro.

Anyway, if I were you.... I will go for the sedan 335i :top:

I love sedan. Put 320i badge behind .. :p :D Just like our member's 518.. hehe.. :D :D

The sedan 335i for sale is exactly the same color with the LCI e90 325i MSport (it's Le Mans Blue). So if supergripen really buy this sedan 335i, he can debadge it and badge 325i to it. Hahaha....

Mine is at Stage 1 tuned with the Vishnu Procede giving me an increase from apprx 306 hp to 370 hp and apprx 400 NM to 520 NM but yet my oil temp is constantly stay at 110c to 120c and even if I push it hard, maximum it is goes up to 125c only.

BTW, if you read the e90post forum on those who have modded their 135i or 335i with Vishnu Procede, it does it better oil temp and fuel efficiency which I am starting to experience it. For me before tuned my FC is averagely at 14.6 l/100km and now after tuned, it is at 12.9 l/100km unless I trash it hard and I will get 13.5 l/100km.

14.6l/100km @ 370hp/520nm... this is what you call technological advancement...gotta respect these people. btw most people would get worried with 120c oil temp although its still consider safe if you use good oil. the oil temp with my supercharged 530i is about the same as the 335i which is why i dont push it so hard anymore. in my subaru with an aftermarket oil cooler, engine oil temp is around 80 - 90c when cruising, 90 - 100c when driving fast on highway, 100 - 110c when pushing hard and high revving, 110 - 120c on the track and never went beyond that even after 5 - 6 hard laps. been to genting or sepang? what's your oil temp there?

Never track it YET  And not to Genting yet too. But I have tried pushing it hard on highway and it is around 125c and drop back to 110c when stop pushing it.

For 335i, temp of 120c is at the middle of the gauge. It starts from 70c all the way to 170c the max. So long as it is 120c... there is nothing to worry as it is safe. Even when I on normal cruise, the temp will stay at 110c to 120c. With extra pushing, it goes up to 125c.

DY...whats the recommended service interval for ur car engine oil...i assume that it is shorter as the oil is operated at higher temp comparing to other car's engine...

mine normally at 90C to 95C at idle/cruising...pushed hard then i get about 105C to 110C normally...

If follow the book, it will be at every 25,000 km but I will do it at every 10,000 km to 12,000 km. I ain't going to follow the book.

wah extended service interval applies to FI engine mer? how long since ur last service DY? does ur engine oil temp gets higher and higher as you go?

mine after 7000km the engine oil becomes hotter when pushed and easily exceeds 110C...it indicates to me that i need to change oil liau...

Is it possible that some of you are talking about water temp and some oil temp? I don't think the water temp can go up to 120C without the whole cooling system exploding from steam pressure.

NA engine on fully synthetic is 10k km recommended oil change interval.. FI, ideally every 3k km and no more than 8k km, u should be conservatively plan for oil change every 5k km.. :top:

The FI engine is pumping the engine oil into the FI turbine as both lubricating and cooling agent. The returning oil is normally boiling and high tendency of vaporization loss.. NA engine oil do not need to go thru such stress..

I think 5000-7000km interval shud suffice..used to change every 5000km on my Subaru, which was pretty highly tuned. These are relatively new engines so u don't hv to change every 3000km..those guys with old VR4,B8,SR20s etc yes,cuz these are old engines with plenty of miles of abuse under their belts.

Would hv to ask my mech for the N54B30..different ballgame oredi.

Like said, I will stick with 10,000 km to 12,000 km service interval. Will most probably do it at every 10,000 km (just like my previous e90 325i). My last service was 6,000 km ago and nope my oil temp is not getting higher and higher.

Schwepps; i'm refering to oil temp :)

And when can we view your nice sedan 335i bro supergripen ? It's very rare here in Malaysia.

I know you are bro. What's the mid-point temp on your oil temp gauge, out of curiosity?

And i agree with you that 10-12k is perfect if you're using a real fully-synth oil.

Mid-point 120c. Starts at 70c, mid at 120c and mzx at 170c.

Mid-point for water temp is usually 85C.

Agreed..

Btw,has anyone installed aftermarket gauges for their e90/92? Was just wondering. It'll be particularly useful to monitor the engine's vital stats.Used to hv some Defis for my Subaru.Dunno if it'll work with BMWs,especially the newer ones.
