Sadly we dont really have much events like u guys have there in the States..
dont be so modest mate...u did quite a comprehensive report on the E92...cool..i cant wait for the e92... :)

Wanted to show you this picture (not mine) of the E92's W221-esque extended Ambiance Lighting package. Its pretty cool. Pics were taken with longer exposure so the effect maybe a touch accentuated, but you get the idea.

Next time you're in town, you're more than welcome to help me abuse someone else's car :D The Lexus event should be the last for the year, its been an ok year (Mazda, GM, BMW, Cadillac). Watch out for the Lexus one, it'll be a longer report....:p

To get the ball rolling on the E92 335i....

Comments from November's issue of Car and Driver:

Mark Gillies : "The BMW 335i just may be the best car in the world at the moment, if you balance performance, style, and sheer driving pleasure against value for the dollar. It has replaced the outgoing e46 M3 as the car I would buy as my daily driver,.."

Dave Vanderwerp: "The 07 335i matches the performance of an e46 M3 without the raspy metallic scream or compromised ride quality, and it packs the strongest midrange ever felt in a 3-series."

Quote at the conclusion of the article: "If we were spending our own money, and had to buy one car, it would be hard to pick anything but the 335i."

Sounds great! As mentioned, my wallet already gatal to upgrade to the E90 335i (prefer the sedan over the coupe) ... if only I eat less LOL

Looks a bit too bling for my liking! With BMW, it will probably also be one of those USD 600 packages (just like the illuminated door sills).

Yeah, I agree with you.... I'll prefer the sedan over the coupe... if only I eat less :)

Its not as bright in real life (you can adjust the intensity via gauge cluster lighting dial, similar to our E90's ambient lighting led's). Its also part of the standard interior lighting package for all US spec E92s. I believe its optional in europe...

Interesting...

Automobile magazine did a revision to the dyno run with a second E92 335i. You may recall their first run netted 275rwhp and 300lb/ft torque at the rear wheels, which proves BMW's figure of 300bhp and 300lb/ft torque was quite underrated. First run implied the E92 335i was producing closer to 350bhp rather than the advertised 300bhp.

"
In the weeks since we first published the results of that test, we’ve heard some criticism of our conclusion that the 335i makes "closer to 350 hp" than the reported 300. We arrived at that verdict after some quick calculations, but since a chassis dyno only reports how many horses make it to the wheels, it’s admittedly a hard number to verify. We did four runs with that particular car, and the actual peaks were 276, 280, 280, and 283 horsepower. We published the lowest number to be sure there was no claim that we were exaggerating the engine’s output. "

Second time out, they observed a peah-hp rating of about 300rwhp!! Enough for them to proclaim "the results speak for themselves: this is one very powerful engine. "

Coolness....kl2dc...get it!! get it!!! :D

Racun!!! LOL As if I need more pushing....

Waiting lar...maybe, within 1 to 1.5 years. My current baby is only 7 months old (d.o.b. Feb 09, 2006) :) Working on it....how much can I sell my kidney for again?

As mentioned, I prefer the E90 body over the E92, more practical and more balanced.

An e90post member with the US military is the first recorded delivery of the MY2007 E90 335i which btw takes the cake for the most subdued model launch in recent BMW history

Some pics (from e90post)...

BACK.jpg

Back says it all, dual exhaust and 335i badge...

BACK_SIDE.jpg

Dual exhaust....

DRIVER_SIDE.jpg

Terra/Aluminum combo with 6MT - Nice color combo...

The one and only N54 3.0l twin-turbo I6 ....

I would mod the exhaust tip into quad setup with Y-tubing, add the M-tech body kit with the CF splitters and diffuser and ofcourse the Blacklines.

kl2dc...hehehe...cool cool...yea enjoy ur baby bro...man im in a pickle..i wanna respray my car soon...really like the E46 M3CSL grey but dont know the code...u have any idea where n how i can get it :D
Quad exhausts?...Always a sweet sight :D

Chubby...you meant the production run CSL's or the Concept CSL?. For the production model, the CSL was painted in M3 Silver Grey (A08) and Black Sapphire (475). A cool M3 color is the Carbon Black (416)...

kl2dc...u the man!!! u the man!!!...no one here seems to know...its either they really dont know or they know but dont want to share..thank you soo much bro :D

at least i can start the ball rolling with the new paint job :D

U the man! :D

I be thinking the silver grey...not many of those around :D
Carbon Black..coool :)

Cheers bro!

Chubby, can't find any exact reference to the CSL concept color, I remembered it was a one off paint job. A combination of silver grey or titanium silver on a black sapphire base, something like that.
