Power, u will never have enuf and there is always faster cars around, also there r some kamikaze on the road. So, my 325 especially the E90 is enuf for me now.

I just want to enjoy the driveability of this beatiful machine. The corners and b roads... Long winding roads...

Haha... I'm not chasing for power or speed.. My current 150HP base line BMW gave me more than enough speed and power to screech through all my favorites corners.. never fail to put a grin on my face.. :4:

If power is my priority, E90 335i seems to be a much better alternative than the F30 328i.. yet, how much more faster can a 335i do in the corner than my 320i? :48:

That is true. the skill of the driver often times more important than pure bhp of the car. i think none of us even with a 335 or even porsche turbo can beat Michael Schumacer on a 320 on track.

go get 320 ler..all depends on your budget and desire...if u ask me for sure i would like to try w204 since i never own one before...so your choice..both are okay...tepuk dada tanya selera...

Tested the C200CGI yesterday.. decided to go try myself after hearing all the uncle stories here and elsewhere.Actually wanted to try the C250CGI but they didn't have a demo car as they've sold them already and there is actually a 6month waitlist for the model.

Conclusion, very very impressed. The C-klasse has come a long way and have closed the gap and even surpassed the 3er in some ways.Job well done to Merc,I'd seriously consider one if I'm in the market. The F30 had better be great as the e90 is well and truly surpassed IMO.

Merz C200CGI better than E90?? I must go and test drive

I must have test drove a lousy C250CGI then... That was like about 1.5yrs back, probably.
Guess they must have improve it along the way.

During my test drive, the road noise intrusion into the cabin was bad, steering is light, turbo lag is there, I have to always kick down to get the response, pedal feel is not instant and direct...Strangely, my friend who went together with me immediately agree with me when I tell him what I think...(I thought only myself as I had a higher expection on this car)

May be I am addicted, or they have improve it again in the last 1.5yrs.

The e90 is still a better car to drive when u're driving like a nutcase.. that's what? 10% of the time? The rest of the 90% when u're not driving like a nutter, the facelifted C-klasse reigns supreme.

Having said that,I'm sure the F30 will have all the answers.BMW always does for it's little 3 ;)

My wife drive the c200 kompressor w204 and i drive an e92 i take her car when i want to go town or to the nearest shopping mall. I test drove the c200 cgi felt that the performance was more or less the same as the supercharger but the lag was there. Build quality of the merc felt more solid and maintenance so far is basic oil and such. My opinion the facelift merc look better than pre-facelift and the pricing is, i feel you get more of a car with the merc but the BSRI offered by BMW is better.

Anyways to conclude in my family all the guy cousins and uncles drive bmw and all the ladies drive mercs.... so conclude as you will.

Would also agree that the f30 looks good and the turbo should make it more competitive than the current 320i. So heard any news or rumours the f30 320i/318i is going to be a 1.6l turbo??

I'm pretty sure the new N20 will be a cracker of an engine, even in the 320i.Looking at the early press releases and pics,I'm sure the F30 will do very well against it's competitors.

I had a go with a c200cgi and I have to say tt i was utterly impressed with the performance, it was close with my 325 w power box & performance intake.
After the run i immediately checked the spec and it was pretty close to the performance of a 325/320d so dun be surprised if the cgi can easily keep up so as compared to a 320.... well go figure sorry guys not to rain on your parade.
in terms of handling, i was also surprised tt my advantage was marginal without pushing my 325 too hard say 80% of full potential.
but the stock cgi could keep up with me despite me on kw v3's and 19's so I have to say well done to MB and also the driver.
it changed my perspective on common perception of unkel drivers on c200cgi :p or maybe I'm just a lousy driver

I was also very impressed with the quality of the interior plus the features that comes as standard on the C250CGI.The m271evo is also a revelation especially since it's only a 1.8,and driven sedately the efficiency is pretty outstanding with brisk-ish performance a very welcomed bonus. All in all a very nice car to own and drive.Against the E90 I feel the facelifted W204 is a more rounded experience, although against the F30 the W204 did not fare as well.
I'd be pretty happy owning one I think.. but it needs to be the C250CGI,which has got a more extensive equipments list and more power and torque, not to mention the Avantgarde trim.

Oh yeah, just finished reading the 'What's all the FUSS' thread..funny.Just wanted to point out that while the guys were talking about 0-60 times of the 325i vs the 320d,the C250CGI does it in 7.2s.. all that without nary a fuss nor a gloat.Impressive.

There's also a brabus version , 240 bhp / 370Nm from the same 1.8, if you think u need to match f30 328.
