Reasonable pricing. You could get better pricing at WP Auto, Pandan Mewah.

Yup, parts bought from bavarian HQ at segambut. Hi Jerman, mind sharing the contact and address of the WP Auto?

Bro, your overall bill appeared high. try to get a "feel" from Bavarian Auto for the cost.
1. Castrol full syn oil 5w/40 should be only RM 180 per 4 litre pack?
2. OEM air filter below RM 70
3. Spark plugs Bosch Platinum FGR 7DQP (Germany) : RM 20 per pc
4. ATF oil RM 55 per litre
5. Oil pan RM 350 (yes, you need to replace this when you change ATF)

Thanks Jerman for your comment,

This is 1st and last visit to this workshop. My mistake too not to write down cost of the above from this forum. Anyway this workshop is recomended by my friend, he said cheaper. I stay in Klang valley, do you recomment Bavarian Auto ? We this workshop located ? Next service I plan to change the ATF. Now mileage 58k km

bro,
Bavarian Auto is the BMW spare parts supplier and NOT a workshop. It's always "healthy to have a feel" of the prices before you do anything major.

Hi Jerman, thanks for sharing the infor. Is your car always serviced there? my car is 520i, UK specs and there is always some irritating sound around the doors, I ask the mech, he told me this is common with all 5 series. Also, sometimes my car is jerking when I accelerate it, sometimes I feel that the RPM is not smooth, it move up and down a while then later it stable. Any idea what is wrong?

Yes, my car is serviced by WP Auto. I do not think the "irritating noise" is common? Jerking? Maybe it could be your ignition coils or spark plugs. Get Albert to take a look if you are in KL area.

Heard a soft gurgle of somewhat loose metal being shaken in a container when I was warming down my car after a drive - only today as I make it a habit to listen to my car every now and then. Did not like it and immediately sent it for a diagnose. Boss of the shop let me 'listen' to the problem which was the water pump. I also asked about the burning smell when I drive somewhat like a speed demon when on the highway and he said to change the gasket as well. Have yet to test if that was the culprit but I do trust him and his knowledge a lot. Also asked him about the 'click' sound every time I turn off my engine and he said it was normal. Seeing that I was skeptical, he let me listen to the other two 5 series in the shop and true enough it is a common sound! hehehe....I always tot it was a problem... Job well done.

1. Water pump - RM365
2. Radiator Coolant @ RM38 each (4 bottles) - RM152
3. Valve Cover Gasket - RM110
4. Valve Cover grommet @ 15 x RM5 - RM75
5. Labour Charge - RM160

Serviced at Mechanikar, Tmn Mayang

Is it possible to use Torco SR-1 oils on E60's and changing it every 10,000km's or we need to go by high mileage oils recommended for BMW's?
