changed Century MF battery din 100 for rm 550...have been having weak starts and finally kenot start yesterday after listening to radio for 4 hrs and playing with sunroof and windows....

:67:Hello bro... Just wanna ask some question about E60... Is it really that the ATF maintenance free? or izit better to change it? The car had already done 120k... Because i asked many BMW service centre and they refuse to change it... :afraid:

BMW claims that the ATF is lifetime transmission fluid...yes ...the life of the car...which is at 5 years and 100k kms perhaps.

So if you have not done so,I wud suggest you do it.

optimum damansara kayu ara 012-2115679 ah fai will gladly change the ATF for you....these are experienced people.
get hold of faisal their experienced mechanic and ask for advise

space saver spare tyre kit rm 1400 at bav auto...

finally decided to purchase due to a scare last week...."TYRE PUNCTURE" on I Drive.Checked...no paku nor any flat tyre.Only to realise that I bumped up the rear tyres 1 day earlier to 36psi and manitained fronts to 32psi.The system works by looking at the diameter of the tyre.Flats has effectively a smaller diameter and thus higher rotational speed, triggering the message. So reduced the rear pressure to 24psi and all is well.Sheesh....wat la this car...so sensitive wan!

so this have to go....if anyone wants this for whatever reason, let me know.

Moots,

I thought your e60 (if it is 2004) would have the standard full size tire as spare? Why 24 psi for rear?

thank you u guys for the help... really appreciate that... bmw want our gearbox to boom i guess... haha... kinda funny by not changing the atf at all...

ATF Advisable to change every 40k KM, else the GB solenoid will be in trouble later on and causing you slump.. :68:
ok... thanks

anyway another question to ask about service... is the SC at quill 9 got a better service?... because it always take a day to do each and every maintenance of the car...

hi taikor,
nope not on my car and neither were 2 other year 2004 cars (530i and 530D) that I test drove before my purchase.

Since you are here,do you have anymore beisan vanos seals avail for the M54?
Am thinking of doing mine before Ramadhan month. The M54 shud be easier to the M52...no timing tools required.

Oppsss...shud be 34psi....sorry

Moots,

I have the standard full size spare tire for my e60 530i 2004 CBU by Ingress. I don't have any more Beisan vanos seals kit.

Thanks for this valuable advice! I also once heard a service guy in BMW that the trans is lifetime, totally agree it's funny how we don't change ATF at all!
