Guys,

I thought I would like to share with you an experience buying a part from Bavarian Auto Parts Sdn Bhd. Two weeks ago, I purchased the edge protector P/No. 51 72 7 122 434 (for rear door) from Bavarian Auto @ their Segambut HQ. Paid RM228.00 and was informed part is original. Then went to my normal workshop and had it fixed. The edge protector could fit but it is kind of loose and not firmly en-bedded into the car body chassis. I then drove over to a BMW authorized dealer to seek second opinion and discovered that the part from Bavarian Auto is not original plus price quoted by BMW authorized dealer for the original part is only RM216.00. The original part has its part number printed onto the edge protector whereas the other has none.

Did you confront Bavarian Auto on this finding? have to be careful now buying from them??

Did my maintenance on my usual service centre for E60

1) Engine Oil Semi Synthetic RM128 x 2 = RM256
2) Oil Filter = RM48
3) Spark Plugs = RM35/piece x 6 pieces = RM210
4) Air Cond Micro Filter = RM135
5) 2 pieces Front Bonet Absorber/Lifter = RM115 x 2 = RM230
6) Reset The Schedule Maintenance and Error Code = RM60
7) Labour = RM15

All in total = RM954 discount RM4 for nescafe ice RM950. Is it reasonable? Hehe

Btw, i need to change the lower arm and they quoted me RM480/piece is it around this price or more less the same? Hope sifus here can enlighten me. Thanks

I have with me 3x4L bottles of Shell Helix Ultra 5W40 (fully synthetic) that I bought from Tesco. i'd like to let go of them at cost, RM139.00 each to be collected from Subang/USJ area COD.
The reason I'm selling is because I can't use on my new A6H. EM said if use spares from outside will void the 4-yr warranty. They charged me a bomb for the same 5 liters used.

Si fu. .... is that good to use Castro magnatec A3/B3 SAE 10W/40 or Castro edge SAE 0W40 A3/B4 FST engine oil for 3.0L E60 2007 Lci bmw?
Any suggestion ???

hi im bryan newbie here " e60 2007 525i uk spec " lci just 4 weeks age.
i wan to ask sifu-sifu here .. where you all buy the castrol engine oil from..? fully S..
how much per 4 liter,,?

because the workshop are not using castrol edge.
they are usiing petronas or renovol..
any good suggestion ...?

and do you all got take the car to opal workshop to service the car?? they charge at rm 550 ++ for a basic engine oil service and add the
hi scan all this service..

is that costly ??

engine oil lucas full senthentic 7l. Rm 50 per l.
Oil filter original BMW group. Rm 65.
Labour . 80.
plus dignosis.

Anyway. Any suggestions to pay cheaper on servicing.
example .
We may buy original oil filter at somewhere .
any engine oil by our self.

Any member got know any friend is selling the engine oil .
we may b can group buy from them . Get more cheaper price at good quality engine oil.

I will try my next service liquid moly or Castrol edge engines oil if can.
wanna to see what is the difference .

Just did engine oil service at UAG Auto Shah Alam Sec 7.
525i 2006

Castrol Edge 6.5L RM325
Oil filter RM45
Labour RM0
Total RM370

7L ZF ATF Fluid RM385
Oil Pan filter RM295
Labour RM90
Total RM770

I checked their Castrol bottle. Just to be sure. It has Castrol hologram seal.
ZF also original ZF.

A mechanic change a wrong engines oil lucas 5w-30 ti my e60 525.
Ni power . Bad felt consumption.
Called to complain.
Will re change a new 5w-40.
Is that correct .?
