Past few weeks I noticed my fan is running at hi-speed. Very loud humming (with hi treble), it got very irritating.

Went to Autobahn Sunway yesterday, and after checking, the thermostat was busted.

1. replace thermostat
2. top-up coolant
3. labour

All in RM440.00...phewwww!!! was afraid if i had a fail fan...that cost more...

Hi All,

Wondering if it's okay to use other brand of coolant instead of antifreeze BMW coolant for topping up?

Thanks.

Well bro, when I sent mine to autobahn, the boss checked a/c hi-pressure first. Pressure was ok, so he plug-in the computer. Computer told to check thermostat first. After changing it, fan speed back to normal. Computer shows no more error. According to the mech, there are also cases where after thermostat change, computer detect error in water pump or fan module. Mine was lucky. Change thermostat, everything solved. So damage to pocket was minimal.

Hi all.
Need to replace my radiator here in NZ for my E60.

Wondering what would be the price for the radiator in Malaysia.

They charged me 1000 dollar which approximately RM2700.
How about underfloor cover, anyone here know the price?

Thanks for your response guys.

Aruan.

Paid a visit to Optimum, to change Auto transmission Fluid.
Prices as follows:

Auto transmission oil pan with filter 437
Socket connector 94

ATF 69 per litre (6 litres required)

Changed a rear windscreen moulding (under) as well while I was there. 128

Labour for the above and some other small bits here and there 100
