Louise,

What was your previous fuel consumption? What's the mileage of your car? Possibilities could be a degraded air-mass-sensor/02 pre-cat sensor and clogged up inlet manifold vent/hoses.

Request the mechanic dismantle the complete intake manifold and clean it.

Jason, you should have a trusted mech to advice you send your car for maintenance? They will be best to tell you what needs to be changed if they are familiar with bimmers. My mech won't simply change things unless the item is really in need to.

Anyways, saw a puddle of water this morning and went to Mechanikar to check it out. Seems that my washer pump (located at the left side of the wheel arch area) is leaking with old age :) Changed it with labour = RM100.00.

Out of blue, my side mirrors suddenly going nut! cannot fold in (or sometimes it automatically fold in itself, even while I'm driving.), and the mirror sometime adjust itself to weird position. the button seems not working anymore. I have to manually adjust the mirror myself. Any idea what went wrong, and how much will it cost me? :(
