Changed Air Con Compressor ;

DENSO Compressor ; RM 1500
Gas : RM 100
Workmanship : Rm 80

and now i m freezing inside my car. Went home smilling . TQ to Iceman for the guide. cheers

p/s : The sympthom that i was having before i decided to change is ; aircon blowing warm air while car idle and cool while on move . After all the compressor have served long enough , time to change.

Bro, any chance you can guide me on the workshop place? Its quite reasonable the price to change on the compressor. I had the same problem on my e60 too.

Just wondering, how much to change brake pad these days? Not original, just OEM. I was quoted RM350 per pair. Normally how long would the pad last? Thanks

I have the same syndrome. Replace the compressor control value instead of the whole compressor last weekend. RM600. So far so good.

Rear brake pads going to be replaced.... Any one recently change that ? Price ?

Any good brands I should use ? Bosch ??

Understand need to replace the sensors as well?

AC issue with my 2004 525i e60

Hello Sifus,

I had a strange experience yesterday. I was travelling to Ipoh and suddenly my AC became warm. It stayed that way for 15 mins or so. Then it became cold.

Same thing happened on the way back.

Drove around this morning and AC is cold. No messages on the iDrive.

Any guesses on what may have happened?

I drive a 2004 525i.

sincerely,

tailgate

Could be similar to what happened to me.... The warm air will get more frequent occurrence as you go...For me it will get warm especially the car is not moving. Went a few shops, they ask to replace compressor. One shop suggest I change the control valve. It cost about RM600. I tried that and now the aircon behaving well so far.

i have also encountered something like this before. usually happens when travelling long distance. what i usually do is to turn off the aircon for a couple of mins and when i turn it on again, the air is cold.

not a big fan of naidu. left my car there, and after 2 days still never do anything!!!!! and to make matters worst, that was my only car! and he didn't settle the problem for me. there is another guy at Sunway (pink sign board, next to redzone) who is better at fixing aircon compressor. Cost me about RM1k to recon the compressor, clean the aircon system and top-up gas.

I did mine at supreme autowerks. They allowed me to bring the oil & pan, and only charged for labour.

Just did my regular service on 8 June 2013. Oil changed LiquiMolly 7 liters, oil filter, fan belt, air cond belt, rear brakes bulbx2 and labour, total RM690.00....
