Just repaired yesterday.....Bayernz at Bukit Mertajam....
Brake pad wear sensor FR $75
Repair kit brake pad FR (Textar) $290
Brake disc FR (BMW) $450 x 2 = $900
BMW Fully Sync 5W40 $60/litre x 7 = $420
Oil filter (BMW) $60
Fliter Catridge (Mahle) $110
Windscreen Cleaner (Wurth) $10
Labor cost $140
TOTAL: $2013 plus service tax

I got a quote to repair the transmission fault
Sealing sleeve (ZF) $120
Auto pan with filter (ZF) $450
Transmission fluid ZF6 75/litre x 8 = $600 (do we really need 8 litres?)
Solenoid valve $1890
Labor cost $270
TOTAL plus tax = $3,346.20

I think i need to check with some other mechanics to see if the prices are reasonable

Brake disc RM450. That's cheap. What model is your 5 series and is the disc original?

Here is what I have done recently for my car:

Front brake discs (2 pieces; original BMW) *mine is 530i so the disc size is larger, 348mm x 30mm* = RM720 each
Boge/Sachs M-Sport absorbers with mounting, protective cover = RM3,100 for all
Labour = RM300

Bro, what did you get the Front Disc from?

Mine is 520i year 2004. Yup it's original.

Air-conditioning parts replaced.
1) Brand new Denso Compressor 3400
2) Condensor 1200
3) Vacuum, recharge refrigerator, labour 200

DENSO Compressor ; RM 1500
Gas : RM 100
Workmanship : Rm 80

and now i m freezing inside my car. Went home smilling . TQ to Iceman for the guide. cheers

p/s : The sympthom that i was having before i decided to change is ; aircon blowing warm air while car idle and cool while on move . After all the compressor have served long enough , time to change.

I have the same symptom. The shop say this highly due to the control valve within the compressor. Quoted RM650 for replacing that. Not sure if the price is reasonable. Anyone got the control valve replaced ?

Changed car battery for 2004 E60 530i.

OEM Battery - RM 800 inclusive of labor

Workshop is Euro Auto in Kuching, Swk. Regas Premium (Official Dealer) quoted me RM1150 for original battery not including labor and service tax. Is the price for the OEM battery reasonable?

Should probably be the same then. Coz my cash receipt just state RM800 as the total. He probably included labor into the price.

The shop was previously known as bm world,now it's called deutsch auto. So far my experience with them is good.

Bro, is the service charge and part there reasonable? plan to send my car there.

2 minggu lepas saya tukar WatEr pump yh saya beli dari luar. mekanik suruh tinggal keter tapi saya tunggu sampai siap...Ambil masa dalam 45 minit. Caj RM180.00. kalau kita tukar Logo BMW kepada logo proton semasa hantar repair mungkin kos lebih murah kot.
