Mine also, my mech charge me 8 litles...

Mech will charge 8 ltr since they need to open 2 of 4 ltr bottle mah.
Unless they charge you by ltr. But engine only need 6.5 litre or less and you keep the rest for top up or add for next oil change.
I bought my oil in carton box last time as I change oil every 5k km.

They charge me 8 littles but didn't give me the remaining wo... Feel like being cheated....

I don't think your friend's car is so problematic. It is part and parcel of owning a 5 years old car where parts/components would gradually be worn out. Expect more worn out parts to be replaced over the next 6 months.

Hi Guys,

Did some maintenance on my E60 525 M-Sport year 2006 last week at Bimmer Auto, Kuantan.
The car showing symthom like misfire. The engine running just like Impreza (Boxer Engine).
Towed the car to the shop and diagnose showed that Ignition Coil for piston No-2 was kaput.

Here is the list of my spending...

1) Ignition Coil : RM 200
2) Oil Filter: RM 60
3) Flushing-oil (Shell): RM 105
4) Engine-oil ( Liqui-Moly Top Tech): RM 420
5) Engine-oil 1-Liter for top-up: RM 60
6) Labour charge: RM 130

Total spending: RM 975

Current Mileage: 49,216 km
Next service: 59,216 km

zack, are you sure your car's mileage is correct? if it does looks like your car is stationary most of the time

Beemerback, the mileage clocked about 22,300 km when i owns the car from recond car dealer in Ampang area. So, i just take that as my reference. Since then, i'm servicing the car ( replace engine oil and medical check-up ) on every 10,000 km. Cannot considered as my daily 'work-horse' since i am only spending 2 weeks in a month with my car. :top:

My rear brake pad was almost gone, so went into Optimum to get a new set.
Also took this opportunity to install new brake hoses which I had purchased earlier.
Here are the charges.

Rear Brake Pad (Original) 385
Rear Brake Sensor 60
Brake Fluid 40
Service Charges
Renew rear brake pad 30
Change brake hose & Bleed
brake fluid 80

Total amount before service tax 595

Here is what I have done recently for my car:

Labour = RM300

Recently did some routine maintenance:

Bro, thanks for sharing. The Bosch plugs appeared to be expensive.
