Jerman,
I would never complain about the slightly higher pricing being charged by WP Auto as long as I am assured of quality workmanship. Being reasonable priced does not equate to giving customer a shoddy work. I am sure most BMW owners are quite a meticulous lot when it comes to their car and we don't like to be short changed so to speak. We pay for champagne and we expect to be served with champagne and not any fizzy drink.

Over a period of 2 years, I have personally recommended many customers (OM & club guest) to WP Auto as I thought more business for him would relate to hiring more skill mechanics thus improvement of workmanship, investment in up-to-date diagnostic set, more organize work attitude etc etc. Sadly instead of doing just that, he became complacent, moved to a new bigger workshop and took his customers for granted.

So bro Jerman if you do visit WP Auto again, you can relate to Albert about this post. Hopefully he will take it with a pinch of salt and come up with some improvements.

Herbert and other OMs,
I met Albert today and gave him the comments posted here. He took it objectively. As in any stories, there are always 2 sides to a coin. You should hear his side too.
Cheers

Jerman,

Thanks for conveying my comments to Albert and good to hear he took it objectively. Hopefully he will put in more efforts to improve workmanship and provide better customer service. For your kind info, my comments weren't stories and/or made to believe stories and hence there are no 2 sides to a coin, so you need not expressed it in bold letters.

I appreciate that you took time to reply and please note that all I want is for WP Auto to take note of my comments and make the necessary improvements. Until then, there are quite a number of good, experienced and reasonable priced BMW specialist workshops in KL, PJ and other areas.

Actually there are too many BMW specialist workshops around :) customer will always come first especially when business is so competitive these days :) those that do not appreciate customers would only end up losing everything.

Just did the following for my 520 E60:
Brake Pads (OEM) 181
Sensor 40
Brake Disc (brembo) 160 x2 =360
Valve cover Gasket 70
Valve Bush 4 x 15 each = 60
Spark plugs 20 x 6 =120
Labour 240

Wow, Brembo brake disc rotor @ RM 160 each that is very cheap for e60? Cheaper than OEM brake pad.

Bang Dzul, I suggest you not to go with those :) They are definitely not original Brembo but some imitation crap.

Thanks bro and i BELIEVE YOU ARE RIGHT. Seeing is believing though. Unless can get to see real life Brembo Disc with AP rotor, I am not a believer yet :4: ....

Cheers.

The problem is, I don't think they make OEM's for BMW E60's :) It's not even in their product line so how can Brembo have an OEM discs for our car. Plus the price is simply too cheap and I used to have Brembo OEM rotors on my Accord. It's a totally fcked up rotor (because it's China imitation) and doesn't eat up evenly on normal usage. It will wobble when you brake on high speed after a while.

Very good price. Care to share where is this workshop?

Guys, my comp shows next service is not due until 11000km but yesterday the dash shows me oil icon saying the engine oil is at minimum.
Do you guys base your service on the dash or whenever you feel like it?

The next service reminder can be set according to what you like. Normally when you go and service, the mechanic sets it for you. It's not an automatic reading by the computer. If you get engine oil is at low levels means you probably have to top up. These magnesium engine are quite prone to such issues. Also check the flywheel oil seal to see if it needs to be replaced.
