Have to careful with the Mode of the firmware. Based on what I've read on web, if you use different mode for different type of the MK processor, it might crash your MK processor straight away.. No mercy wa cakap luu.. huhuhu..

To be exact,
MK3 = Mode2
MK4 = Mode1

Correct me if I'm wrong.. Thanks! :wink:

I have sent to most of the buyer. Hope you guys will enjoy the buy. My target of 10copies still not achieve yet. For those who want it, please do not hesitate to PM me.. :rock::rock::rock:

Thanks bro ... i will check my version and see whether it's version 31 or older :top:

got the cd today..works fine in my car..to my surprise its the High version which includes POIs (points of interest) which includes nearest atm, petrol station, service centre etc...very impressed although its unlikely that i will use it much since i have gps on my phone which is much more user friendly...but to have it working in my car is a bless..

Bought the 2010 Sat Nav disc from one of our friendly BMWCM member, now fully working on my system.

To my surprise it is nicely printed, was expecting a blank CD with "Imation' logo or some sort on it. And its the High version which includes POIs (Places of Interests, some sat nav units calls it Points of Interests). I didn't have POIs on my UK map previously.

Before inserting the Malaysia map. Blank ground because UK map CD is still inside the system.

Once the Malaysia map is inserted, Voila! Roads appear on the map.

Testing the route calculation. Seems OK.

Places of interests menu. Reachable from 'Information' in the sat nav menu.

Go into this

And you get into this. Seems to have a lot of information in the CD.

It even have nearest ATM to your current location!

I actually run TomTom and Garmin on my Windows phone, which is a lot more user friendly and easier to use than the outdated BMW system but its nice to have it working in the car. And to get the High version CD is a big bonus for me.

Woohoo ... installed mine just now and am very very happy indeed, best RM50 i've spend in a long while hehehe :top: There's more info and the roads are all uptodate ... Big thanks for bro fireuz for making it happen for all of us :love:

Great!!! I'm happy too... but I'm a bit wondering why my display is not informative, where:

1) The map display is showing from the top instead of the side like yours.
2) I can't retrieve the POI for my journey refference

Is it because of the different software version..?

Are you running MKIII? Coz only MKIV has the 'perspective' mode.

Yes.. mine only MK3.. So, I should looking for the MK4 unit by now.. hehe

One of the buyer try to load the CD, but message coming out from the nav display saying "CD cannot be read". I'm not sure why but the MK processor looks different with normal MK3/MK4. Search throughout the web, and it's most probably Rover type. The buyer is driving E39 Japan Spec, year 2002 (early).

The comp processor look like this:

Display appearance:

Anyone here know why the CD cannot be loaded in? What exactly owner should do to make sure the satnav can read the CD? and what exactly version this satnav exactly? Because I never have experience with this type of satnav before.

Thats the Japan Sat Nav. Bro Harbhajan got it in his E39 Jap spec. Been told many times in this forum that it is NOT USEABLE in Malaysia. Completely different system.

Need to change the whole system to get it working.

Noted with thanks.

What do you mean by "change the whole system"? Need to change the processor and the wiring gloom as well? or is it possible to swap the processor only?

No single part can use include the 16:9 wide screen?

Thinking logically, might just be the GPS computer, but not sure about the GPS antenna as well. Not sure though. I think the screen is just a screen, connect anything to it and it will display whatever.
