Parts are expensive. For example, brake sensor is RM 28.00 (per piece either front or rear), textar brakes pads are RM 120.00 (front) & RM 110.00 (rear).

Used to buy parts n let my trusted mechanic to install for other non conti rides but he refuse to touch this bmw.
Any honest n reasonable mechanic or workshop to recommend which is willing to accept customer bringing own parts?
I'm based in Serdang/cyberjaya/pj area.

I did my intro at newbie section; just purchased an e39 530i abt a week ago. I plan to do a preventive maintenance inspection and change the required wear & tear parts. Can you suggest a workshop in klang valley area which can run full inspection for the whole car?

can geng la.. ehehe.. there is a lot of shops at pj area,, like blue green, kayu ara got .. but u need to see which one is convenient for u to send just in case u need to put ur car there for a day or 2

- Eng Oil
- Oil Filter Mann - RM 25
- Spark plugs - RM 12 * 6 = RM 72
- Lower Arm Front (TRW) = RM 220 each (2x)
- 2 belts (Conti aircon & v-belt) = RM 100

Parts from workshop
- Expansion tank (Febi) - RM 195
- Expansion tank connecting hose - RM 75
- Water Pump (Febi) - RM 195
- Valve Cover Gasket - RM 95
- Valve Cover Gasket Rubber - RM 4.5 * 15 = RM 67.5
- Labor & coolant for all above - RM 350

Next would be looking at preventive items which are ATF, ATF gasket & filter and oil level sensor.
