Hi JFT63....i like to browse in this forum to get to know about symptom2 'kereta mau rosak'...so i can't get cheated by workshop...i'm working in kl but sometimes go back to my hometown at labis...if my car breakdown at this area i'll know where to send it..dont want to tow it all the way to KL...:-(

My 525 just went in for its service after 5 months with me....total cost? RM2300.
The oil service cost only 500+, but the car had developed a minor misfiring problem - turned out the coils were starting to act up.
Changed all 6 coils and spark plugs....
This is my CNY Ang Pau to my UDM....LOL!

Now looking for a replacement power seat switch assy.
Left the car with the valet at the Crowne Mutiara KL. The joker snapped the switch for the backrest adjustment.
BMW doesn't sell the individual switches, apparently. Have to change the entire assembly with the seat base adjuster switch as well.
Hopefully I'll find a used unit to replace mine...

How much for all six coils bro rpmnut? And where did you service yer UDM? Bosch spark plugs?

Each coil RM185, total RM1110. Using Bosch Platinum spark plugs now.
I service my 525 at BM World, Bandar Tun Razak, redlotus...

Did regular oil change yesterday, normally I did this to naidu but the long stretch from Kota Warisan to PJ made me stop to this particular shop at Ekuin Park area

labour + resetting ~ rm80

Total : RM315

This shop have lots of E30 converted to sr20, E34/190E to 1J..and offering me to install m52 2800 cc engine as replacement to my 2200 M54 lol...


Next planned upgrade/mods

- a pair of 245x45x17R for my front tires

With all due respect...they are much much more powerfull than any standard e34, be it 525,535 or even 540...but I still won't touch it oso...:withstupid::withstupid:

Engine Oil (Liqui Moly) 10w 40 RM120 x 2 = RM240
Engine Flush (BG) = RM48
Oil filter = RM35
Diagnostic= RM30
Labour = RM20

Total = RM373

Finally time to service my ride again and below is the damage;

Engine Oil (Caltex Magnatec 10W40) = 205.45
Oil Filter M54 = 38
Windscreen Cleaner = 9
Labour = 50
Diagnosis = free

Total = 302.45

Have to admit this is the cheapest service I've experienced so far....touch wood
