i busted my water/hydrolic pump a few weeks ago. got replaced w a recond. its quite ok.

replacing w a new one for 2k? i think too expensive. u can get an engine kosong/lantai or a manual gbox for that kinda money! just go for recond la... dont spend so much! toyota 1jz stuff are quite durable even for recond stuff. just my two cents.

btw, my mechanic did try to repair the pump, but no repair kit available. my prob was the mechanic couldnt find the water gasket, but the hydrolic part gasket is available.

Thanks for the feedback rizal. Dunno man. I'll probably go with a new one.... don't like the idea of messing around with the water pump. Maybe that's why I go no $$$$.... everything new. :rolleyes:

Hi Bro Seech, sorry to hear about your water pump issue. IF at all possible please ditch the
Hydro Fan and go Electric with a regular water pump.
Let's meet up soon after you get the parts sorted out.

Hey bro. I actually quite like the hydraulic fan :rolleyes:.

Am getting it done at Alberts place. He told me u were there not so long ago.

Will arrange to meet up. Keen to hv a look at ur conversion also.

Hi bros...

I have migrated from the E36 section to the E34 1JZ section now... Was a tad bit sceptical after a bad deal with my brother's E34 with RB...but after testing the 1JZ properly fitted...i bought it..hahahaha

hey guys i jus saw this thread! lots of u running 1JZ/2JZ/other turbo engines wei! anyways if u guys have TT can i come as well? i run 1JZ too but i don't drive an E34 though... i drive an E36 =(

gotta noob question for u guys also - what diff/LSD axle r u guys using? im still on stock and it is DAMN hard 2 drift la (with only 1 wheel spinning haha) unless i go very very fast (which's quite scary of cos haha).. i thot of putting on the M3 LSD cos my mech sed it's plug n play 4 my e36, but he did also say the lock is not very kao.. probably not enough 2 have a 'good time' going sideways =) any suggestions/advice? jap LSD axle??

my other question is regarding 1JZ directly.. at da moment i'm using the stock beemer fuel pump which is more than enough 2 push my stock 1JZ (1st gen) at stock boost.. so if i were 2 upgrade my turbo to a big single, then do i have 2 change fuel pump? i know i have 2 upgrade injectors n management 2 standalone, but some ppl tell me BMW fuel pump is enough 2 push a 1jz wit big turbo, others r telling me its not enough. unfortunately almost all of these ppl dont hav a beemer.. or a 1jz =) anyone know the LPH rating for the stock e36 fuel pump? thx
