Hi bros, doing some minor repairs to my car, and have just changed my absorbers to BOGI one's..however i kept the same m tech springs from b4.. After changing, the cars seems higher.. my question is, would the absorbers affect the height of the car ? as far as i know it should rite ? same springs are being used from b4.... And mech says ive got a slight leak in the steering rack however b4 sending to him i never noticed any leak at all. Anw how would a slight leak effect the car when driving ? Is it possible to carry on using the rack until next service ?... thnx..cheers

common sense 1. old absorbers worn out, so less pressure, new absorbers have better pressure, due to new valves. Anyway give it some time to settle down. either that or your bogi are super long and the absorbers are bottoming out and your ride will not be nice to sit in

no.2 yes it will, post 88 steeering rack are not serviceable, unlike the older e30 racks - go to another mechanic and get advice

Yup this happened to me also when I first got my E30.... almost same combo, but in my case the springs were stock standard. The ride height should settle over the next few weeks.... dont worry about it.

Hey guys..its been 3 days since i got back the car..n yeah the height is almost back to normal. However, its still slightly higher but this is because the old absorbers were totally worn out n had no pressure at all..but anw the car is riding well...now for an upgrade to the brakes..hmm

I presume this will solve your problem :-

e30adjustable1xq8.jpg
setImgWidth();

You can set the height to your own liking as well as the dampening rate soft or hard...I like it and you can ask mr.jippy about his experience hehe...just a matter of time I bet he'll change to manual...heheheh

Hmmmm how best shall i describe ... lets just say I prefer to go sideways nowdays hehehe ... worth the efforts and $$$$. Just put it this way a one time investment will save you in the long run as each time you service the adjustable it will only cost you rm150 - 180 for each. Do the math and it cost you less then to buy new shocks.

Hi...

I also interested in 'absorber custom made'. I have 1 e30. the absorber now that i use is too lowered + lowered spring = perhaps of "old already'. How much for the front e30? TK:top:
