For my knowledge if driving such as this long distance mostly using 4x4 car rite, Anyone drove E39 to China or any other places which the distance is few thousand KM before? Anything have to be consider about the car before start the long distance journey? Im thinking to drive my E39 from KL to Shangri-la. aprrox 3893km. Is't possible? China is left-hand drive rite? How about our malaysia's car can go into their land or not? need any document to apply in malaysia? Hope sifu-sifu can give me some advice. thanksView attachment 29562

Yes i think it is possible.. but it shouldnt be your e39 alone.. it has to be at least another vehicle to back u up for logistic n support preferably 4x4. And many other things to consider.

It's not that far, can be done in a week up and down, but regulations from China is quite tight, lots of forms to be filled

I think it is all going to depend on the road conditions and the kind of support you are going to encounter on your way. The distance itself is not a concern.

I did Amsterdam-Hamburg-Copenhagen-Gothenburg-Oslo-Alesund-Bergen-Oslo-Copenhagen-Hamburg-Amsterdam, for a total round trip of about 4,500km, in about 10 days in a Saab 9-3 without a single hitch. Likewise, did Amsterdam-Innsbruck-Salzburg-Milan-Venice-Milan-Zurich-Freiburg-Amsterdam, for a total round trip of 2,800 or so km, in 2 weeks in my 530d, also without a hitch.

The car will get you there and back no issue. The challenge is going to be parts (anything breaking due to road conditions) and paperwork.
