Does the E34 really need a strutbar?

Yeah, I can imagine how a Wira can benefit from a strut bar. Kanchils and such definately need strut bars. Scarry to imagine that the windscreen has to take up so much of the cornering stresses. Once a friend brought his 200bhp Satria non-GTi to batu tiga and after a few dramatic laps he could not shut his drivers door without slamming it. Windscreen was OK but seems the entire chassis had been distorted.

If you think the Wira is bad, the Saga was worse. I cud feel the body flexing when I used to drive up and down Genting. The front wud flex one way and the rear the other way.

That is why I ended with a BMW but then again.. kena racun... might decide to get a front strut bar and see how much improvement can be made to the handling. Maybe after CNY...

That sure is one seriously scary crack! And they made their first appearance after your fling with some seriously fast curves? have you had your windscreen changed before? If so, could be a bad windscreen installation you think?
I have never had the windscreen changed, not sure about previous owners though. I don't think it's fast curves that did it, maybe the series of tight left then right corners.......

The cracks are not as serious as they look, no water sipping in and it's not causing any windnoise or further cracks. Only thing is that they are unsightly, but you have to look very carefully to spot them. Even the windscreen vendor was surprised to see them!

Is this the OSFranker's car? Nope it's bimmerman's car but it sure is uncanny isn't it? Have I got a Racing Dynamics piece there? No lah, but it sure does look it!

But i've decided that a strutbar is not for me. Did not make a real big difference in my ride unless I went sideways most of the time but a measly 150bhp that I have won't see me having so much fun in the near future. I'd rather put the money in a K&N replacement filter.

So guys and gals do drop me a PM if you want my strutbar. Still nicely wrapped up in plastic. RM250.
