Guys, you should give Extreme Auto Detailing at Glenmarie a try. They do a very decent wash, using DG shampoo, two buckets with grit guard and sometimes the foam gun if required, the schmitt as wash mitt and dry with a proper waffle weave drying towel.

How much do they charge for a normal wash?

I only wash my car at 1upautospa at sunway.. only RM12 and they take care of the car .. very proper wash at cheap price.. got promotion now RM80 per month and u can wash your car everyday if u want to..so, if it rains everyday also no problem..(check with them if still available, coz limited availability) and so many other promotions lah..and they only use microfiber cloth and Meguiars' products .. it is at 29,Jalan PJS11/14.. just mention my name and they'll take care of your ride :) i don't wash anywhere else but here..even if it is so dirty, i ll wait till i have the chance to go there or wash myself.. here's a map to the location.. it is the area behind ESSO next to Sunway Pyramid.. u can zoom on this map ..

As for the fine scratches , just ask them if they would remove it for u.. mention my name and BMWCM .. 1UPAUTOSPA is a yellow building on that road.. there are 2 yellow buildings there , so just have a look at signboard lah.. www.1upautospa.com have pics there... ask for elwin or marc or kewin .. nice guys that would surely make your day :)

ps: if your ride is parked outdoor, then worth it to get nano titanium coating..i can vouch for it..

It would be wonderful to be neighbours with them. Car detailing done everyday at RM80 sounds just swell!

i just checked this place out seems pretty awesome...i use to always frequent carnauba autospa..but for a cheaper price this place seems awesome...i live in sunway thus its only a 5 mins drive from my hse

1up is pretty good. I've went there once few months ago and bumped into our current pressie there - Nazrie. Haha. Highly recommended for their service and efficiency.

Any autospa at kepong or damansara ????

Hello Guys,

Sunway is abit too far for me. Anyone can intro any good place to wash my car at Kepong or Damansara area ??

Thanks !!

Sorry to be reviving this thread again....

I'm interested in paint coating and read the good reviews on 1upautospa. Went there recently and it seems the shop has a new owner in the last month and he uses a different coating - currently uses Japanese Quartz as opposed to the nano technology previously. He polishes using Meguiar's.

Any forum members been there recently under the new owners? Should I wait and see first?

Or should I get my car polished and sealed instead elsewhere?

Thanks

*sigh* Looks like 1upautospa no longer do car washes. :(

Where are people going these days near Subang/Sunway?

Oh? What's the name of the place in Glenmarie? Got website or phone number/address? Thanks.

Don't know if it's been mentioned in the forum before but I go to Shine N Shield in Sunway. They've got this PPS teflon coating thing that buffs your car's body to perfection - removing all the swirls you got AND the results are amazing... once you've got the Teflon coating on, everytime you do a regular wash, ur car will look like it got polished!

It costs around 1k+ and you return every 6 months for chemical cleaning - to remove stubborn stains like tar etc. - that costs around 90. Apart form that, it's regular washes.

Check it out... http://www.shinenshield.com/

I went to that shop a few years ago when I had a E46. The owner (Raymond if I remember correctly) is a very throrough and detailed person. He was very hands on too. He did the finish touch up himself when I sent my car there.

Bro Chenht,

I guess you are referring to ShineNshield in Sunway.

Folks,

I plan to put on a good shine / protection over my paint. One of my friend recently did a lot of scouting and looked at PPS, DiamondBrite and VKool. He finally got his done at DiamondBrite. They are giving 6 years warranty.

Could anyone out there share your views / experiences on these coatings? I also read that 1up is not giving nano titanium anymore. Has anyone tested their new coating? Appreciate the sharing.

Used to be hardcore detailer. Now no time to do all. LOL so must keep it well from start. Tis is what i do

1) send it to nearby roadside car wash. Ask for spray only. Shampoo all don't wan. Should be arounbd RM2 or 3. Unless u have those water jet spray. then can diy at home lor. I live in condo so no choice lor. Very important to spray all those big chunk of sand and dust away.
2)reach home, rinse again with normal pipe.
3) shampoo car with MG nxt shampoo or ultimate wash n wax. Use MG MF wash mitt to scrub........very very lightly. Almost not using any force
4) Very lightly dry with MF towel.
5) apply MG ultimate quick detailer with MF cloth....very lightly.

Lol, the important is don't your force to dry your car or apply any wax or quick detailer. else, you will end up with some scratches or swirl mark even if you use the best MF clothes in the world. Very hard to say mar, suddently got something landed on your car. then you wipe it along. Scratch.....tongue.gif

i know what you mean

the best detailer...i believe is still the car owner himself

cos he is the true ownership.....its time for us to take on the care for our investment...

many says yr car looks shinny...I replied...i like the feeling of driving a new car without paying a new instalment
simply just detailing myself ...taking back the ownership
