B12 = B8 with Eibach springs.

I wouldn't recommend B8 with H&R Springs cause H&R's are very firm. Better just go for B12, B14 or B16 as the match has been done by Bilstein Engineers already.

If you have very deep pockets. Then just go for PSS9 coilovers.

Cheers

I heard B12 kit is equipped with springs already, but you will never know whether it is H&R or Eibach.
It would already been painted as Bilstein spring.

what's the difference between PSS9 vs. PSS10?

my car e46 just use this b12.

my review (as a 19 years old boy)
Very good! i just turn my car to a sport car handling. although you can feel the yellow line, but cornering would be so easy. no need to brake, just drop gear an enjoy the corners.

My dad (as a 50 years old man)
this car is not BMW anymore! its not comfort at all....

so, different people have different perspective...

Glad to hear such good comments about the Bilstein shocks, unfortunately lowered vehicles will lose its comfort. However, some drivers are used to it, but some passengers are not happy about it.

Where do you get your B12 from? expensive?

sunway, falken shop in row with JFA exhaust. but i dont recommend them, bcoz, by the time they open your wheell, abs price increase (no stock, have to take from other shop), then by the time finish, the worker will ask u to change to 2nd hand abs mounting (add money) which in turn the newly change mounting damaged. (change one side only, the other side old onel still ok)

My advice get from authorised distributor for authenticity & warranty.

Go to Autofuture (Damansara Utama) and look for Alan. He will explain to you all about Bilstein.

Dear All,

I think absorbers are very technical components so I have quite a detail sharing with Boyeric regrading absorber at one of the forum in this club but not in this forum (BMWClubMalaysia.com Forums > BMW Tech and Performance > Chassis and Wheels Tech
Bilstein absorbers). If you guys wanna to know how people like Alex Yoong tune his absorbers for his Bufori then just surf through the below forum:

BMWClubMalaysia.com Forums > BMW Tech and Performance > Chassis and Wheels Tech
change tyres + shock absorbers

Information share NOT for PROFIT OR COMMERCIAL PRPURPOSE.

Dear All,

I have just received a call from one of our BMW Club members when I'm here testing my absorbers setting, which the receptions pass him my numbers so that I'm able to instructions him on how to make his way to BPH.

Anybody who wish to learn more on absorbers call to their office or me for directions.

When Sing (the E36 member that rang up), we did have a common question on how to differentiate imitation OR recon and bilstein and sach absorbers. This is because it looks the same because of high profit margin, they willing to change when we complain so again how to differentiate. :) Anyway thank you for trusting me and of course we help to save $$$$$ hehe

Thank you.

Dear Bro Boyeric,

just read through the this forum # 25, 27 and 29. From there you will know that me and my E46 gang have been taught on how people in the absorbers industry test absorbers for:

1) Quality Control (when people manufacture absorbers in big quantity, how to ensure that all the absorbers perform according to its spec, which have been determine by the car manufacturer. this is why when people like me buy the half cut TEIN we don't know how the absortbers perform but only know its TEIN.

2) When people RECON absorbers, how we know? All looks the same the answer is the damper tester machine. Thats the reason I'm buying the BPH.

Anyway, please email me your contacts so that we are able to learn more from each others. Thank you.

ya i agreed,i put b12 for my e39 b4 this,cornering..wow!!!hway...wow! but...lama-lama,the problem come one by one, mounting, lower arm,etc...i just use it for 6 months then let go...now i'm using standard sachs absorber n standard spring, then i feel so comfort like ne bmw n feel like "dato",hehehe,but..i'm still young, still wanna my baby look sporty, lowered, plz advice me whether to put eibach / H&R / Gab,which one suitable becoz now using standard sachs absorber...

n some more my opinion,B12 not suitable for town driving la..u guys know la how GOOD our road rite?

That B4 bilstein (black) absober for front have short stroke & long stroke??? My e30 320i use small housing std..

I used eibach lowed spring so which stroke more better??

If I want use B4 + lowed spring any side effect??

Already buy bilstein black small shaft but not install yet..

More likely than not, it will be bouncy. :D

Yr absober will not last long also. Comfort for city drive but suffer on highway & performance drive:smokin:

the spring rate does not match the damper rate ... thus you will get a comfortable ride, plus it compromise your safety when cornering, high speed or over the uneven roads
