Did you buy that? That is a S50B32 though. 6 speed gearbox burst and replaced with 5 speed. And the engine..........

Bro, I did not buy that car. I actually paid it a visit. It is indeed highly negotiable. But when I saw the condition of the car, I was put off. It has not been cared for...so I dropped it. I estimate between 20 - 25k to put her back into road-worthy condition...and that is from known problems...what about the unknown nitty-gritties....

There is another for 110k, thats another story altogether...in my opinion not worth the dollars

Mine is actually a full convert, meaning complete engine and cooling system, gearbox/longshaft, suspension, arms, axle, floating braking system, wiring, ecu, bodykit, exhaust and additional welds in sweet spots. Given the seal of approval by my trusted mechanic. The conversion took a full year and I can see that the previous owner was very patient and meticulous and sourced parts on Ebay on his own. What attracted me is the tidyness of the work, the smooth idle and sounding engine. Others that I have viewed, just did not sound right to me....

Good for you bro.

That engine went through MME race and it wasn't own by a lady as claimed!!

And yup, it needs plenty of work and not worth the asking price.

Cheers

If it is Titan .. took Richard 4 times to get my setting - a few scratches here and there and they broke my headlite level sensor. BUT , Richard said he will pay for the damage ...without even me asking .. I respect him for that.

How's my suspension now ? .. Niceeeeeeeee .. No more KONIs, B8, Hotbits, H&R for me ... However, KW2 V2 is a different story laaa

Thanks. I run Titan's on my 38 and yes Richard and his son are decent people. Frankly, I dont really fancy it despite being tuned 3 times now...it does not do it for me la. It's hard finding the perfect note...But this is very individual taste la. My 34 set up is exactly what I am after..running B8 rear and stock standard front with HiOp springs all round. This set up I dare take corners at ridiculous speed...car just dampens into corners so nice...dont feel any roll and don't feel planted like a go kart....now this set up, how to find on the S50.....million dollar question

Thanks bro...I sure hope to get real pleasure from her. That's why I label the thread S50B30, rather than a M3....don't wanna claim glory to settling for a compromise

Depends on which model of 34 . I have driven a few modded 34 with various setup - but somehow the handling is just ok .. E34 M5 is different setup / chassis .. it's tight.
E34 535 same the same chassis as the M5 - i read it somewhere.

i agree - suspension setup is personal preference.

Mine is a M20 chasis with a M50 engine....used to belong to XXX before....

Suspension set up is always a very difficult one with trial and error. What works on one car may not work on the other

perhaps adjustables is the only way to go. my E34 is running B12 Bilsteins and from your camera shots of the Temerloh drive, you can see its excessisve roll.

Really??? I was right behind you and saw you control very well taking 70 degree bends at 150 odd km/h, myself already hitting the brakes...unless your rear brake lights not functioning lor!!!! I was going like a go kart track drive sweeping from right lane to emergency lane to take those corners...given I felt totally planted to the road with very little "play"...maybe E34 driver cekap kot :smokin:

Humble greetings all ///M sifu's,
1. Ride set up - currently has Blistein B8 (Yellow) with Eibach springs. I feel this is very harsh especially for driving on highways and B roads. What would be an alternative in the event I want to retain the absorbers but change spring? I prefer my ride to be firm, but also has room to "play" and not feel like a go-kart i.e. good dampening rate that is not harsh

I think the only way to get a ride that is a balance of the two is to go for adjustables. Also keep in mind it 'crashes' more due to the lightness of the car, a very different feel if you are accustomed to the 5/7 series. Minor bumps in the road seem huge in the E36.
I am running KW V2's, if you like I'll take you for a ride at the next TT.

hahahahaha!!! Bro....190 km/h also myself like "bengggg" already......300 km/h!!! I really need to get used to how light it feels, after being used to the heavier and planted models. Also rack and box steering systems, so diff the feel!! One thing for sure...it brakes very well into corners...especially when I freak out with the speed and revs heading into the Karak corners!!!!

I have this same problem. It is still scary for me driving at speeds above 180km/h, the car feels very light and unstable compared to the 5ers at high speed especially over rough sections of the highway.

Thanks bro! I really do appreciate the remarks. Yes, I would certainly oblige a ride at the next TT. Last nite, I took the car out when everyone was asleep...headed into the Guthrie highway, the clearest and windiest strecth of highway known to me which is close to home. Man...the baby is fast and yes, feels like it gonna take off!!!! Touched 210km/h before I freaked out and slowed down...on 5th gear rev was around 6.2k from recollection....

serjit, that's how a proper rempit car shud be.. you've somehow got to be freaked by it a bit, a la a sportsbike :)

...beware of the hidden powered e34's ..... maybe can outbeat the s50 ...

when wanna test power to welcome the s50 ....

Boys...anytime...but be prepared for a go-kart ride feel...plus the car has no rear seat belts!!! Slowly I am increasing the speed....maybe with a full load I may feel less freaked out...given there may be more to accompany me...wherever it may be!!!! hahahahaaha
