Ah seeee...

I did not press and hold the button....I just pressed it....

Thanks for the info!

long but interesting thread..! Sorry to steal as I am new..

I had a similar situation but darn scary..I was using a totally new 320 sport courtesy car last week and this high 1 side low 1 side road appear to me in a sharp corner..and i was pressing between 140-160..

The car slipped immediately in a thrilling manner to the low side..scared the hell of me.

Correct me if I am wrong, i noticed that our front wheels are built smaller, thinner and they are at inner position compared to the rear ones. Thus when the front wheels are at the brink of low-high..it will easily fell to the lower ones. This became thrilling when you are at corners..quite dangerous though.

...RFI is only an indirect monitor and is not very accurate or fool-proof. It will detect a blowout or complete air loss of course, but a partial loss? I have my doubts.

No worries! as what David has said, a slight drop in air pressure in any one of the tyres will reduce its wheel circumference and resulting variance on revolution count against the other wheels, this will trigger the RFT alarm. Very smart idea! :top: The only problem is all 4 wheels losing pressure at the same rate... now how often can that happen? :D

Soul,

I went through the same thing at high speed as well, KESAS highway, after Kota Kemuning on the way to Klang. I was on the fast lane, car tramlined towards the divider but since I was aware my car was doing this, both my hands were on the the steering, controlled the car. Felt like butterflies in the stomach though...:burnout:

GRIP! caused by the heavier RFT tyres.. :p and you r suppose to drive with both hands! :D Pretty soon, you would mastered the art of advance driving without realising it and it driving with both hand.. :p

QUOTE] I am wondering how could one go through a sharp corner at 140-160. :top: Even a F1 car can't go that fast through sharp corner

I know of only one car that could do a 90 degree turn at high speed, and that was Automan's car, a Lamborghini Countach....hehehe...I loved that show!

Few corners on PLUS cannot take more than 180kph la... very scary to take one... but now all 3-lanes lio... I guess u can pedal to metal all the way.. :p

Yes earlier versions of the E90 doesn't come with this. I think 2007 model onwards got. You can check if you have an additional ambient light sensor under your rain sensor on the windscreen. Newer batches have this and the sensor looks like a gun now. It'll also do auto High beams if the light is set to Auto mode. I.e. when its dark, and no on coming cars, the high beams come on automatically and flips back down when cars are approaching. Nice ler.

Jun, can u show me the pic of ambient light sensor? ur car have this function or not?
