Go to the 3 series maintenance, you can read more on your subject. Just change mine all round and to me its good feel.

Changed all four Bilstein Heavy Duty (black) 2 months ago. good firm ride and no complains. Plus ada comfort jugak.

Rear: RM175 a piece

Front: RM380 a piece

Dampers extra but pretty reasonable.

Bro how come your so cheap ?

New set for e36 325 (yellow) cost abt RM2K

Yup true Roland....singapore indeed

But prices here oso around there or just a lil higher...

But there are not performance shocks...but good comfy ride. Does the job well for me. Performance shocks to bumpy...getting too old for bumpy rides...unless she's on top...ahem

cheers

Oh i see, You like comfort, i like handling....haha....

I changed my absorbers from the ori Boge to Blistein Black about 6 months back. Immediately after the change, felt the difference, ie tighter control and less bouncing around (most probably because the Boge's are already screwed real bad).

Bought those Blistein Black from First Division (Jln Ipoh, KL) and they cost below RM200 (I think about RM175) for the rear and RM300-350 for the front. Sorry, cannot remember the exact price. Maybe you should call First Division to check out the current price. BTW, mine's e36 318i

Bilstein B4, B6 & B8

About time to change the absorber on my E36.

My finding from the website & forum as follow:-

Bilstein B4 or touring (Black) is an alternative to ORI & OEM but it also give a firmer ride. It work fine with stock spring.

Bilstein B6 or HD ( yellow ) also work with ORI spring and give a much firmer ride.

Bilstein B8 or Sport ( yellow ) work with lower spring.

B4 is cheaper ( RM1,100.00)

B6 & B8 almost the same price.(RM2,800.00)

B4 with stock spring is my choice.

B4 at RM1,100 for full set of front and back? Hey that's reasonable...where to get?

Thanks

blistein black r more cheaper then boge i think juz 300 for front set and t rear normally same price cost 175,if no mis tk

Last I checked with Munich Auto Segambut the front black bilstein for E46 N42 is RM340/piece

Just called up a few shops to enquire on the pricing of E36 318i absorbers...

Front (Boge): RM340 to RM360
Rear (Boge): RM175 to RM180

Front (Bilstein B4): RM310
Rear (Bilstein B4): RM165

Front (Sachs): RM355
Rear (Sachs): RM175

Still cannot decide which to buy....sigh
