u have a breakdown in the middle of nowhere and managed to get it fixed in jb ab eventho it was late....i'd say the m3400 is well worth it...imagine if u had to tow the car back to kl and leave it overnight....the amount of hassle is just not worth it....

btw look on the bright side...any high performance car is expansive to maintain...even the japs...funny how peeps in contis forum whinning about maintenance when guys on other forums like evo/subi are spending like mad on their cars...they not even fall under luxury category.

Well said bro.

Actually, I think the E90 will be a classic by virtue of the fact that it breaks new ground, like the 2002 and E30 did in the history of this series. And while we look forward to the next iteration in 2012, I think that will turn out to be an evolution of the E90, to borrow Al Bundy's words.

Some of us may choose the E90 because it's within budget at the moment, but I deliberately choose the E90 because the 3 is an iconic series, with a character and persona that other marques cannot mimic.

I think the E90 will be remembered as the car that BMW shifted it's design philosophy (no thanks to chris bangle) but it won't be a classic imo ...

However the E92 is a different story tho :D By far one of the sexiest car in BMW stable and ( it's one of few things that bangle got it right :) ) and it may have the potential to be a classic...

Maybe bro, but what detemines a classic is rarely the looks. What looks gorgeous today, looks dated next year. ;)

Woooei! You suddenly turned boring or what? :26: Who cares about car registration classifications? :) We're talking about cars that made a statement. In BMW's case, the E30 is the 3 that defined the sports saloon. IMO, the E90 has perfected it beyond the reach of even venerable rivals like MB and Audi.

given a choice ..i will never choose a classic...even if its a classic ferrari...they rattles, uncomfortable, lack of safety features and slower:eek:

What I'm trying to say is we all will turn classic one day, doesn't matter if any statement is made, be it fashion, technology, revolution, 2 wheels, 4 wheels, 2 legs.. :p

Obviously we'll turn vintage a lot sooner than our 3-series.. :p

I drove a friend's 2005 E90 320i today, I found it to be a very pleasant drive. I also felt it was as big as a E39.

This was confirmed by the following post I found in Bimmerfest forum:-

"The E39 5 and the E90 3 are very similar, and almost identical in some dimensions. I spent a few hours in the showroom while my 5 was in for service and I actually measured the interior dimensions of a new E90 to compare to my E39. I took along my trusty 12' stanley tape measure!

E39 Vs. E90

1. The front headroom measured identical at 37" drivers seat at lowest position

2. Front legroom - The E90 has slightly more leg room and much greater seat travel. (drivers seat in comfortable driving position)

3. rear headroom - the E90 is a little tight, about .4" less than the E39

4. rear legroom - the E90 actually has about 1" more rear legroom than the E39 with the drivers seat in the same position as in the front legroom test. The biggest difference though is that in the E39 5 there is more room for your toes under the front seats. The E90 seats sit lower to the floor so you cant put your feets under them as much.

5. rear shoulder room - both measured identical at 57" across just below the windows

Just thought I would share my observations. Subjectively, I dont think there is much difference between the two. The back seat does feel a bit smaller in the 3 but not by much, and the measurements prove it. In the drivers seat of the E90 you feel like you sit up much higher in the car than in the E39. I had to double check that the seat was all the way down. "

No need to wait. Hold your breath, close your eyes, sign the cheque and enjoy the E90 ownership experience :)

Haha... and let the BMW Credit worries about the balance.. :p I'll sign everything to get my hands on the key fob to the car.. :p :D

Use tomorrow's money to realise today's dream! :D Smart? No? U go debate while I enjoy the car, life is short u know.. who knows what will happen tomorrow.. I certainly don't want this to be a thing to regret in life.

The E46 330i is in a different league altogether with huge torque advantage even against the E90 325i's uprated performance. If that was the choice Anxious had to make, my comments would have been different for sure.
