The E46 318i is a 1.9 (pre-facelift, non Valvetronic) or 2.0 (facelifted model, Valvetronic).Originally posted by Raymond@M-BeasT@Apr 12 2006, 02:39 AM

Why la Teluk Intan heavy jam ka????Originally posted by r424@Apr 12 2006, 09:47 AM
Another vote here for 325.
Petrol consumption for mine is approx. 9-10 L/100 km for long distance drive whilst town drive(not so traffic jammed like Tk.Intan) u'll get abt.
12-13 L/100 km.
I do 'tekan' once in a while and I 'm assured the 325 has that extra
reserved power waiting to be released when I need it.

Ultimately..... The real BMW 3 series experience is a sliky smooth straight six...
Sorry kenny...just saw a 318i with a 2.0lt badge on the left hand side of the rear bonnet...makes me more bloody confusing....Originally posted by KennyG@Apr 21 2006, 10:21 AM
They have 2 models, 318 (1.9l - 4 cyl) & 320 (2.0l - 6cyl)
E46F once told me when I was contemplating the 318i I'll always yearn for a 325i. I lost a bit of sleep over it and I'm glad I got the 325i. The extra fuel and maintenance costs are worth it cos of those nice occasions you can tarek on a clear stretch and that oh so brilliant soundtrack as the 2.5L engine finds extra oooomph nearing the 6K rpm mark. It's not about being better than others, it's about how good it makes YOU feel and you do feel the extra 50 to 75 bhps! Too bad I got no rich daddy to get myself an M3 and just got to settle for being a sad old 33-yr old wannabe!Originally posted by E46Fanatic@Apr 12 2006, 01:30 AM
Depends on your profile as an owner. If you like to "tekan" it'll only take you a max of 3 months driving the 318i before your eyes start roving at 330i's and 325i's. If you just like to cruise around and appreciate lower maint and cheaper fuel consumption, you'd be happier with the 318i.
