Well, I am thinking about getting a piggyback as a Christmas present for myself...... but still on the search for possible errors or damage to the car....
I'm between Racechip and DTUK.... can't afford higher price box.....

In fact, it would be great to hear feedback and full review from a PPK + DTUK user.....

I've tried already the Racechip Pro2 in the car, couldn't say I was impressed.....I mean, yes, it goes faster, but the promising figures the company says are far from being reached.....the car was dynno to 202HP (flyweel) after the PPK installation.......after the installation of the Racechip Pro2, max I got (without triggering the warning lights on!) was 214HP (flyweel), which is 12HP more......far from the 228HP the company promises.....and to be totally fair with the company, they even claimed that due to the fact the car is already a PPK one, the max power output should have been between 250 - 260HP (same as 325d with Racehip Pro2).....yeap, I got their email they state that, for those that don't believe me.....

So, being unhappy with the Racehip, I'm thinking of trying the DTUK now.....but if it's onlyto get again 10+15HP and not what the company promises.....no thanks....

From my experience, a stock 320d 2011 manufactured, dyno on wheel - 171ps 371Nm
Added in the power kit, dyno on wheel - 185ps 399Nm
Added in DTUK with +2 setting, dyno on wheel - 206ps 463Nm

All were done on the same dyno machine.

Potentially 238hp and 465Nm torque for the 320d with maximun Racechip tuning

Yeah buddy, I know what the Racechip CO promises.....but it's far from what I saw in the friends car....320d 177HP ' 2008 model....after Racechip, only 214HP and NOT IN WHEELS......

So, taking into consideration your data, I will probably see 20+ HP on top of PPK Kit? Therefore, the 202HP on flywheel the car had after PPK installed, it will easily go up to 222+ with DTUK?

That's what I understand......

maybe your fren bought the lowest end Racechip S like mine

You think that the Ultimate version, will be better in performance?

At the same price, it's Ultimate vs DTUK...... :)

Among many diesel tuning piggybacks, I heard race chip ultimate gives the least power for diesels , compared with DTUK or vector

Gonna try out Burger Motorsports's JBD soon. Cheapest among the bunch. Cost only SGD400. Was told comes with dyno (before & after).

Single channel (plugged into fuel only not boost) but decent reviews around the world.

Shall update once done 

Hi,

Well, I made up my mind and ordered the CRD-T yesterday..... hope it will work with the PPK kit and the power it gives will be worth it....

Hello,

I bought DTUK CRD-T a few days ago, installed it in my E90 320d Manual PPK and now I'm in the testing period......I will do a rolling road dyno in a few days and see the actual results....

At the moment, tried Map1 +30%, saw difference but not big one......better torque in low revs than stock PPK though.......then tried Map4 +0%, saw quite difference but had a couple of times a strange cut-off on revs (4.000rpm), might be an instant error, I will try other Maps in the next few days…..

Just wondering which setting had other PPK + DTUK users chosen.......

I think it all depends on what "map" was loaded. In my case, Map 4 was claimed to be designed for cars with PPK. When i dynoed Map 4 at 0 setting, it yielded 206ps and 445Nm dyno reading. With Map 4 at +2 setting, it yielded 207ps and 462Nm. This was done on a Dynojet machine.

finally after owning my 320d for 2 years i've decided to put on the power kit..

i'm currently using Vector. is it ok to Vector + BMW Power kit? or do i have to change rims, etc?

does anyone know anywhere that gives a good deal and how much the power kit cost now so i can go do some comparison and haggling?

cheers!
