if u see the bus, then you; ll know how the bloody rims cracked....

i too was at kk puspakom and i happened to see the car as well, will update the pictures later....including the bus that was rammed by the 335i

While some of you are so busy trying to find and post pictures of these accidents, I can't seem to understand one thing! With so many cars crashing into vehicles parked on emergency lanes by the highway, why can't the Government and PLUS Berhad so something about it?

The NS Highway has been opened for use since 1993 (if I am not mistaken), and we religiously pay toll all these while. Both the Government and PLUS should start looking at road lights for the highway! Please don't say its wasting money. We have ample sunlight for more than 12 hours, so why not go solar if they think cost is the issue! After all, we shouldn't compromise cost with people's lives.

I drive on the highways almost every month between Penang and KL and I try so hard to avoid night driving. For one reason, my eyesight is not the best (age is catching up) and I have seen that many of our trucks and buses many be huge in size but the tail lights are just too small. Some of these trucks don't even bother to check if their tail lights actually work. Haven't JPJ thought of reflective stickers like what they do in European countries?

I think is about time something should be done! How many deaths do we need before something is done?

Yeah, certainly more can be done by the authorities. But there is a pervasive attitude of discourtesy and lawlessness in our drivers that needs to change too. There's a lot of "If I can get away with it, why you care?", and a lot of "You die, your business."

This morning on the way to work, there was a fool in a white Civic who was going at twice the speed of the traffic and weaving in and out of ALL 3 lanes of the Kiara highway to do it. He probably thinks it's fun and that driving in real life mimics driving in a computer game. He narrowly missed a motorcyclist. How not to have accidents with idiots like that on the road, and there are so many of them?

Saw the obituary of the female doc in yesterdays star paper. She is from kemaman terenganu and likely the owner of the car as it's terenganu registered. However based on the report the driver that night was a male doc. My guess he wasn't used to the 300 ponies and hence lost control of the car. Very sad incident

Ohh, she died too? Sad. :(

I thought it was a big bus. That's a minibus isn't it? And did they hit the front or the back of it? The front looks undamaged...

they hit the back of the bus, thats why the lady who was sitting at the back of the bus died....

the bmw went under the bus then flipped the bus, then it flipped as well.

i didnt know she passed away as well...RIP

I saw the obit too, but didn't connect it to this accident. They must have been using all 300 ponies if a backender turned so nasty.

OMG ...what a wreck ...perhaps BMW AG should check on the car creadibility .... could be a pedal lever stuck like the ones for the TOYOTA ....

the Airbag also seems like did not pop open ...but could see some white thinggy there ..not sure is that the airbag ??

When some big shot in government or what kena, then they will take action.
Of all my observations, most of the cases are like that... sadly.
Apparantely, they don care...

Ambulance arrived after 30 minutes and it took the docs almost an hour to threat the patients(non critical ones) and some even gets discharged...

Its not only the goverment its our people too doesnt seems to really care...

I second pussy's suggestion to close this thread. Too much of finger pointing to endure, I'm lucky that I don't feel the pain the parents of all 3 doctors are going thru. My sincere condolences goes to all the affected families, really sorry for your loss regardless of who was in the wrong.

Conclusion: Draw your own, but before that decide on what you are going to do next & bear the consequences of your own doing, period.

Seems that the 335i rear ended a slow moving bus travelling in the same direction, pushing the bus, and causing the bus to roll over as well. Initially I thought it was a head on collision.

From our E90's experience and BMW perf driving school, the brakes on the E90 is best in its class, with amazingly short stopping distances with the stock 300mm 325i front brakes from ~70 - 0 km/h . The 335i vert although heavier, has bigger 346mm rotors in the front with bigger discs on the rear as well. With one of the best or the best ABS systems in its class and CBC and DSC, it wasn't sufficient to overcome the sudden realization of the speed differential between the moving bus in front and the moving car. With full brakes on from the moment of realization to impact the car would have shaved off a significant amount of momentum with the capability of the BMW brakes, ABS systems and 19's fresh looking tyres. However, sadly it wasn't still enough. I believe at the end the driver did not expect to see a slow moving bus going in the same direction, meaning he had no visibility before hand of the bus till it was too late. Approach speed would have been very very fast for this to happen. Based on information so far, there was no alcohol involved in this case, meaning that driver reflexes and attention was at peak at those high speeds.

IN addition, our E9x are extremely safe cars. Crash tested at 64km/h frontal impact with hardly any injuries to passengers.

Learning to us fellow E9x pilots.

Its heartbreaking to read of the pain of surviving relatives, and I cannot imagine what the families of others who perished feel. Innocent lives equally precious gone, through no fault of theirs. Ok for this thread to close, but lets not forget what happened here, and all be wiser as a result.

the only reason i posted the pics is to get ppl to realise how short life is and the only thing that separate us mere mortals from the road and the speed is the chunk of metal that makes up the car.

anyhow bro, i agree with ya, please close it man...just let pplz ponder over it and thats it...
