KUMAR Thursday July 29, 2010PETALING JAYA: A school bus driver allegedly raped a 10-year-old girl in full view of other pupils in the bus.A kindergarten teacher who was passing by heard screams for help and alerted members of the public, who caught the 51-year-old driver red-handed.The incident took place along Jalan Othman, Petaling Jaya, at 12.40pm on Monday.It is learnt that the driver had stopped the bus by the roadside and approached his victim. He forcefully undressed her in front of the horrified children.He then forced himself on the terrified girl.People who went to the girl’s aid grabbed the man and bashed him up before handing him over to the police.Meanwhile, another pupil, aged 12, lodged a report alleging she was molested by her school van driver in Kelana Jaya.The 6.45pm incident allegedly took place near a disabled welfare centre when the girl was alone in the van and on her way to extra classes.The 37-year-old driver allegedly grabbed her from behind and fondled her private parts.The girl put up a fierce struggle and managed to free herself before running off and screaming for help.The driver who chased after her gave up when he saw her seeking help from her friend.Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed, who confirmed both cases, said police are looking for the van driver.“The bus driver has been remanded until tomorrow.Selangor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said a special task force has been set up in light of the two incidents.Source: http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=%2F2010%2F7%2F29%2Fnation%2F6753637&sec=nation

For the driver to even contemplate doing such an atrocious and heinous crime in broad daylight, in front of the other schoolkids... WTF was that driver thinking? :stupid:

Can probably picture the other schoolkids needing some form of counselling or therapy to get over such an incident. Then again, somehow I find it rather amusing to note that of all the hoo ha about wanting to start sex education early, coupled with this happening, I can only shrug my shoulders at the thought at what might be the knee-jerk reaction to this very piece of news.

Saw this on Star Online early today and was thinking even on schoolbus our childrens are not save...that 51 yr old man definately knows that he will get caught yet still did that thing!!(in front of others some more).. That is definitely an option, but the same sickening mentality could be passed by the rapist to his protege, one or many. Elders have an everlasting effect on kids, be it theirs or someone elses. The lineage of these animals will continue

A friend in the force once told me that he came across this rape case somewhere in Bolehland where the father raped the daughter, after torture & interogation he explained that it was his own seed & his own tree, why can't he be the 1st to taste the fruit? When there are sickos like this living amongst us in society, what guarantees are there that the same sickening mentality is not passed on to either one of his sons?

Most employers here won't do a thorough search on the workers past, probably only traffic offences... and that ppl should be given a 2nd chance. but there's something terribly screwed up with this guy. Attempted rape in broad day light in front of all the other kids???!!!!

interesting question. the radio went on to say that the school bus operators association will screen their drivers

not very sure how they are going to do all this as most school bus operators as far as i know are their own bosses, unlike factory workers.

not very sure also about how the association operates but what if the driver does not want to be an association member? generally, if a company or an individual is not an association member, they cannot take action or in this case, even conduct a character test.

anyway, its very typical in malaysia, only when something happens then only they will do this and that to avoid any future problems but why didn't they do this in the first place? why do we wait for things to happen? its a bloody eyewash if you ask me. as usual, it will be forgotten and no more character test in future.

Beg to differ....They're WORST than ANIMALS. At least ANIMALS have proper sense of love and care towards their little ones. But what i saw on Nat Geo HD last night got me thinking how beautiful animal kingdom can be compared to we humans. Showed on tele was this leopard cuddling and taking care of not his young but a lost baby monkey. She (leopard) was taking care of the little baby monkey like it was her own!....keeping her away from predators.

And there are some humans here with the capacity to "think" and yet ..... speechless!!!!

ive seen that on youtube bimmerholic..ur right, Animals deserve more respect than these pricks. Even dogs are so loving towards children..
So frustrating to see something or another happening to kids everyday. Standard of living has changed, times have changed, and so do they way ppl think. What ever happened to human values and morale? If not for anything, every relegion preaches love and care for each other. MOFO's like these are ppl we trust with our kids man.

So it was not a schoolbus but a private unmarked white van, and the girl was alone with the man and not with other children. Those who were screaming were the teachers inside the kindergarten...
And the kindergarten teacher wasn't the one who bashed up the guy... it was the driver and passengers of a passing car who stopped after seeing the screaming kindy teachers....

Damn, what's wrong with the STAR reporter who wrote the initial news report???!!!! too much imagination....
