Kev, I could be wrong but if you are referring to the power window regulators, then I think the single glaze & double glaze shares the same unit.

Unker,

They look the same but I assure you the motor is different, itu double glaze manyak berat woooo...

For now putting further plans on E38 mods on hold, as I am confident the car is near pristine condition, but needs attention at the next service for Vanos seal, engine oil change, rear disc brake and pad change and re-tune Titans. Then it will be garaged and out for the weekends

Terkena racun kaw kaw yesterday, so embarking on another project  (beware of the "Racun Kings". There are now a dynamic duo out there who are specialist racuners....hehehehe) This one is a fun one and gonna be real exciting  Already kena nice f***ing from the mrs yesterday when hinted of new project.....hehehehehehe

To be revealed in due course :burnout:

Bro InitialM - thanks for the inspiration. Am far from having a perfect and the envy of all UDM owners, which co-incidentally is parked in your house  Kudos to you for your passion, dedication and what seems like an endless bank line to run your projects! Admirable bro....salute!

BTW - now there are many bargains in the market and this forum for E38. But if you main E38, I think I surrender mine la...cannot keep up bro. Bankrupt la gua!!!!

hahaha no lar actually I'm the one who pokai now. With new family/house commitment I've to slow down. Well done on yr E38. I've to keep my dream in closet for a longer time. :smokin:

Your E38 looks awesome bro! If you are considering getting new rims you can't go wrong with some Alpina 18's or 19's:)

Bro - your racun lethal la....like cynide, worst still lethal injection!!! For now, this project is within spec and consumed more than allocated budget. Will revive final touches on rims maybe in Aug/Sept. For now just got a toy which rocks :rock::rock:. Will update soon in another thread.

After getting Kevster to test my ride set up, was told that the rear shocks need to be adjusted by about 30% softer and the front by 20%. So a trip to Titan's yesterday. After 4 hours (the back shocks took forever as the seats need to come off!!!), the ride is now near perfect. Man, I tell you those Titans rock!!!! Here's what I did: -

1. Reduced front strut dampening rate so as the push back was gradual rather than super fast
2. Same for the rear, except much slower dampening rate
3. Increased rear shocks height to match the front, so overall, the car is now about 2.5" lower than standard stock. It was about 3" when I first installed the Titan's and did not like it too low
4. On wheel balancing for the front. No on wheel for the rear for fear of messing up the tranny
5. Front wheel allignment and adjust camber for the back. So no oversteer, swaying etc

At 6pm rode on the KESAS highway from Pandan Indah heading to Shah Alam, in peak hour traffic. Thumbs up to the Titan shocks and allignment job. Car ride set up is now near perfect :top::top::top::top: I dare drive a little faster and take some risks that I never dared to do before. Maybe I need to register myself for Kevsters driving course la

Thanks Kev for the tips!!!

How much does this Titan set up cost? Is it adjustable high/low?

Bro - titan set up for E38 around 3k la. Back struts are high/lo adjustable. Front are coilovers. E38 punya bore too big and they dont have a custom bore to house the hi/lo adjustable for the front. Best part, serviceable for about Rm200 every 2 years or so....very cost effective and feels great too. You adjust la sampai puas. I dont like my ride too low, so I ask them to increase the height....

Pics to come soon

Serjit, even on my other car, I ask George to use a more "chip resistant" coat, also no use la... bumper looks like some teenager's face with a severe pimple breakout :D

Just drive slower... hahah!

Windscreen grinder

Friends,

Anyone know of products that can be used to grind windscreen of minor stone chips and scrath marks....I read somewhere there is some carbonate powder that can be used to polish the screen....any insight, always grateful :top:
