WTS: BMW USB + OBD Diagnostic cable set

Gentlemen,

I recently purchased a usb cable from the UK through ebay. The cable comes with the round adapter. I was mislead by the item description that clearly stated that the cable is compatible with e34. When I tried it I could only read the airbag and ABS modules. When I contacted the seller he offered me a refund and quickly fixed the product description.

The cable looks good and it comes with all the software that you may need to meddle with your car (if your car support the k-line protocol). It cost me RM250 with shipping. If anyone is interested please drop me a message. I'm considering selling it to a forum member rather than sending it back and incurring the shipping cost.

Sorry bernardryan, it doesn't work with F10.

This is supposed to work with the following models:

E87, E36*, E46, E9X, E34*, E39, E60, E61, E63, E64, E32*, E38, E65, E66, E31*, E53, E70, E52, E85, BMW Mini until 2007
*limited functionality/not all cars

Thanks for your suggestion anaksarawak. Am afraid that will only work with OBDII cars (year 97+). Infact the cable I have is already an OBDII cable, but my car is ADS/OBDI car, hence the incompatibility. I'm going to ship the cable back today.

I'm contemplating building my own ADS connector. The schematic is readily available and the parts are not expensive, but I haven't done any such thing so not sure I can pull it off. Wish me luck!
