Would Like to get the new 525 E60 Please advise

Dear All,I am new to the club. Would like to check with you guys what is the benefit from getting the 525 from AB and Cartrade. Please HelpPlease recomend which sale person

well i like cartrade. cause they seems to value potential customers and go out of their way to help. also the owner is nice guy to talk to anyone there.

autobavaria...sales guy seems to be more technically equipped.

naza? a friend of mine said they were selling 525i with hamann mod. :unsure:

i suggest you wait another 2 - 3 months before getting your car. this is because all e60 made after march will be fitted with the new r6 engine instead of the current M54 engine. the r6 engine is more powerful and with valvetronic as well.. you can check with bmw malaysia to confirm this.. they should know.. just send message over their website. they'll send a reply almost immediately.. i've sent many queries which were replied within the same day..

we got a 520i not too long ago. and the car has broken down 3-4 times...the car just 'dies'. AB claims that its a software problem and they have downloaded the 'new'/'latest' software a few times but its still the same. this is not the only case...

not too sure about the 525i though...so...are you sure you still want the new 5??

My 525 is now 5 days old and so far its been a dream machine. I love the cutting edge Chris Bangle design, its really a work of art. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nothing breaks down.

It does have 2 minor faults which I will need to bring it back for. One is the word "W" from the word "BMW" on the passenger side door guard is missing. Also at the rear wheel arch, some minor paint work seems to be coming off on the inside of the arch, not noticible to eye unless you run your fingers by it like I did when I was washing it.

Between AB and CT, I found the sales person of AB to be very much more professional than CT whose two sales person was not attentive and did not seem have been product trained. I then went over to AB Sg Besi and boy what a difference.

I will recommend this girl Wendy Tan (012 2277371) any time. She is very polite and very professional. She has very detail knowledge of the BMW cars and is able to explain all the functions and features of each car. When AB failed to deliver my car to me before CNY, she went out of the way to get me a brand new 318i Lifestyle courtesy car that I used for 3 weeks until my car finally arrived. Excellent sales girl...but she's due to give birth mid of Apr. So better hurry.

My car is now at AutoDetailer and I'm due to pick it up shortly. Will let you now if they did a good or great job on my car!

Just wonder how long you do your booking? What colour you choose.

I think my salesperson is not doing a good job.

Cysoon, if the uprated 2.5 ltr engine is coming within 2-3 months, then it's well worth the wait cos the valvetronic unit has a whopping additional 24 bhp (i.e. from 192 bhp to 218 bhp). It is also lighter with alloy construction and should be mated to an all-new 6-speed steptronic! You'll eat E200K and E240s for breakfast anytime!!

The present 192bhp 525i already has a 6-speeder Steptronic autobox. In fact, the present 192bhp 525i can already eat the 163bhp E200 and 177bhp E240 for breakfast!

But, yes, why not wait for the 218bhp 525i if you are in no hurry?

The 218hp 525 I was told will only start production in July so just a few more months to wait. But along with more powers also means higher price.
