I 'll wait for F10. But u have to sacrified some of the published features because i'm sure the first model of f10 will be just a basic model. All those 4 wheel streering, break regeneration, cameras and etc will be an options for future upcoming f10 model. Whether u like f10m or not, just wait and see... u still can decide because when launching time, sure there will be balance model e60 to clear off. (could be even cheaper). if u can't wait for 6 months, and u like so much on e60, then buy it with no regret. for your information, u can get cheaper e60 525i m-sport lower than 367k. I bought a m-sports 525i on last year Feb 2009. Car year2008, pre register on feb2009 at the price of 350k. I can choose the number plate at that time because they register the car 2 days before they transfer it to me. Don't buy at ab or sapura. buy it at the smaller autorized dealer. u can bargain for better price. yet they provide me burnt copies nagivation map (every year) at no cost. money is yours...

M-sport66,

You've mentioned some interesting points. Where did you purchase yours? Care to share?

Bro,
Still haven't made any decision until today??? If you like the look of E60... just buy la :top:
Personally, I still think that E60 is one of the best looking beast on the road. The new F10 is too mellowed :D

for me 6 mths is not too long to wait better go for F10 since if not mistaken from what i've read it will come with 8 gear transmission ................fuh ... correct me if i'm wrong friends

For me, I try not to buy the 1st generation of a new model. Normally such model is plagued with problems, a mixture of both minor and major. By the 3rd generation, the model becomes more stablised and more valued for money.

Bottomline is buy what your heart tells you. If you like the E60 go for it. If you like the F10 more, then no point settling for your 2nd choice right?

can you advice what you mean by smaller dealer?

hi all

i really need help, pls advise if i shoukd get local, uk spec or japan sppec. i have found 1 unit 525i japan spec 2004 very low mil. but got to know that many people saying not totake japan spec

Who told you that?? Ask them to talk to me :thefinger:
I am currently driving an E60 Japanese specs and nothing bothers me at all. Low mileage, interior practically new... the only downside is that the SatNav is not working and cannot listen to radio (well, now I have OneFM 88.1 to listen to :D)... but it can be rectified by changing the CCC
It depends on what you want really. Don't be swayed by other people's word. I listened to my heart :D

ya i agreed with thule....
i m viewing japan spec and hopefully can have one 525 Msport by next mth

Well, looks like most if not all would suggest not to buy 1st generation car, normally not full spec or comes with minor/major issue and one shall wait for 2nd or 3rd generation, to extent that is true, but however if u wait for the 2nd or even the 3rd generation, the chances of seeing the car on the road is a norm thingy and it might be due for facelift. Thus the oompphhh is no longer there.

Just get the car you like and within ur budget, I suppose its never wrong to get either of the car, afterall they are both solid built BMW !!!

bro,
buying F10 now has nothing to do with showing off nor being the pioneer. What if there are many F10 on the road? We buy the car for the thrill that the 6 potters offer :top:
just let BMW sort out all the problems fort before buying. That way, you save a lot of $$$ in maintenance or potential problems in the future. Don't forget it's not easy to maintain UDM :D

Malaysian mentality. Whether or not the car comes with full specs, given time, it WILL be 'fully spec'ed by the owner. Hahahah..... rumour has it that the F10 Down Under starts from only AUD78k for the 520d. ..... the 535 should be around AUD120k.

So, since F10 has been launched and CKDs coming on stream, anyone still think should get 525i Sports for 360-350K than a 383K F10 523i????

Had the joy of tailing an F10 535i moments ago on DUKE. Wow, that fella kickdown... :top: Lucky traffic heavy so I was able to catch up and admire the car. But sadly, I don't really like the rear... :D

Didn't wanna cucuk him also so I just followed from behind. :D

I assume you are referring to the 2010 525 Msports?. Given the (small) price differential, I would go for the F10 523 but if you don't mind a 2009 525 model which is obviously much cheaper, I am letting go mine.
