Even my 6 yrs old son told me that he likes the sound of BMW engine whenever I floored the pedal.

ha... missed my black monster for a week... so far no nightmares..

but had a go of one the members 530i... took it to 180km/h easily... the car handled so well...could go some more.. but the traffic at kesas was moderate...

now with that kind of joy in having such a car that promotes confidence and reliability, it should give u wonderful feeling of what a car should be..

btw, it was a e39... full 3Liters of it...

Yap, it is a car that provide the real confident, bump into 1 some 3 weeks ago on the way to KLIA to catch a flight to Sin. I was following it just to notice at some point that we were already at 220km/h. By the way, that black 530i bared a number plate Wxx triple5, can it be the same car of your member.

when my first daughter was about a year old, she will smile everytime she hears the sound of the inline six purring and revving on my E36.

The first few letters my kids recognise were.... guess what... B.... M.... W

well to add, ive own many beemers over the years... mostly old ones..... and as pussy always says, junks n rubbish.. hahaha...but till today.. i would anytime buy a beemer over anything else.... sumtimes wen i drive my 635csi arnd n feel so good bout it.. beats the feel of the supra tht i drive sumtimes..... yeah power, but wat about the feel man.... nuthing comes near a Beemer....even my beaten up 1991 e30 318 is so nice, man wats a waja compared to tht old banger...

you had made the right choice bro...

Can't follow like you buying cars like fish Mafia, I dream of BMWs ever since small those days where the 1800, 2000, 2002s,3.0csi and so on but no chance till got it the last 10 yrs, till today no regrets, as for me the more people say that the car is heavy to maintain the more I challenge buying it and most of whom who say its heavy don't even have one betul tak? I am getting a Jaguar 4.2 under my garage soon to company my cars. action ni.

jaguar is indeed a beautiful car..... but compared to my previous jag n beemer.. anytime i pakai beemer.. but still hunting for a mk2 jag.. if got.. tell me.. wanna buy k..

Back then I alwez wanted either a S15 or a R32. My dad told me I'd be safer in a Euro car, specifically a BMW. So he got me the E30 325i. It was a gorgeous car and I was really happy that he got it for me. But at the back of my head I was still curious how driving JDM would be like. But I never considered how a crash in a JDM would be like either. I had two major accidents in the 325i, and walked away unharmed both times. Now I know what my dad meant. So for me it's gonna be BMW for life (literally). =D

PS. Pussy: How come never reply my PMs? Tak kesian a fellow forumer ke? =/

BMW Can Bring More "Vroom" "Vroom" Feel~~~
Our Car Maintanence Cost A Bomb?? Don't Think So~~~ Every Car Of Course Need To Do Maintanence.

I Enjoy Listening To The Beemer Engine Rev Sounds, Very Syiok La!!!

Japanese Car Very Low Maintanence? Let Me Drive Few Months Then We Will Know. I Will Rev To The Max Everyday, See It Need Maintence Or Not After Few Months. I Am Sure The Car Sure Very "Tired" With The Way I Drive. My Mechanic Said The Japanese Car's Engine Already Die With The Way I Drive, Haha!!

I Think The Main Reason Ppl Might Think Japanese Car Is Cheaper In Maintanece Or No Need Maintanence At All Is They Always Drive Their Car Follow To The Speed Limit. They Just Want A Car That Can Brings Them From, Like You All Said, Point A To Point B. One Person Teasing On My Mother E30 When My Father Sent For Spraying --> Why You Buy This Piece Of Junk? It Is Expensive To Maintain & Many Problems. My Japanese Car Cheaper In Maintence & It Can Take Me From Point A To Point B, No Need To Spray This Piece Of Junk La, Better Throw It La!!" Walao!! Such Stupid Comment & Really Insult Our Spirit To Own Beemer!

I Told Him--> Your Car Can Takes You From Point A To Point B, Why Don't You Walking? Your Legs Able To Take You From Point A To Point B Too! Buy A Kancil Also Can La, Since You Don't Know Much About Car! Haha!

I Enjoy The Beemer Engine Rev Sounds, Very Syiok La!!!
When You Sit Inside Beemer & Sit Inside Japanese Car, Too Much Different. You Can Feel Beemer Can Give You Everything!!
I Will Never Choose Brand New Japanese Car If You Let Me Choose Japan's Car Or 2nd Beemer.

Wow James, I felt compelled to post cause I'm so tired after reading your post. Its already hard decrypting the meaning, but not sure as tired as you need to press the shift button for every word. :burnout:

Well, I have personally experienced buying a second hand BMW and yes.. the maintenance can shocked you... I bought a 4 year old E46 and spent RM40k the next two years to maintain the car... all parts started to just die off..... I am still having the car after spending the amount..... yes... there is a lot of joy in driving the car and good for your image too BUT if you do not have spare cash and feels the pain of having to cough out thousands to maintain the car, stay away...... it is an expensive toys that lot of people are willing to spend time and money on it... and if you are doing mental arithmetics and start questioning, forget it..... you are not ready for the pain that comes with the joy..... having said that I am waiting for the new facelift to appear in the Malaysian market perhaps end of next year ...... in life you seek for what you think is the best for you.....

Every component in a BMW is designed with thoughts for looks and of course functionality, cost be secondary.

There's aroma specialists that smell out every material used from plastic to fabric, from foam to glue, for the cabin not only to give the passenger a nice smell but to reduce fatigue, some ask why BMW cabin funny smell. There's acoustic engineer to tune the engine and exhaust note to supplement the driving experience and every model is tune differently. Can't imagine the Japs to invest in this area in the decades to come.. and this are the reason why Japs car is cheap.. or should I say BMW is not expensive if u know what r u paying for and u simply can't mass produce such quality item at low cost and that too explained the price..

No Ambipur for my E90 please!

wah!Thats make me scary, spending 40k for next year maintenance!!!!!.....i had frens own E46, E39 & etc.....the first year still maintenance cost still manageable. But later years, they said the maintenance cost very costly(tak boleh tahan).....
I think me shud be stay away to own a bimmer dream:106:...i still cant equal the gaya or image that i gain by owning a beemer contra with the later big sum of cost that i need to forge out......:eek::eek:

Gaya? Image? That's an understatement for UDM and u obviously underestimate what a UDM can do and certainly the German engineers would be disappointed because you only acquire a BMW for its gaya and image...

Give u a fighter jet and u only do fly by and impress the chics.. :p u have loads of fire power in your "joystick" awaiting for u to dispense u know.. :D and u complaining the jet is costly to maintain.. :p

Lets be honest... BMW may it be new or used or 10 years old, it will require a lot of expense to maintain it as UDM.

Read Anxious and initialM threads and you will understand more.

If you are just graduated and just start your career and have no 'sponsors' for your BMW then I may suggest to avoid old BMW as you will end up with empty pocket every month.. Also instead of spending your Saturday with friends but end up at Workshop to maintain the car.

Nevertheless, if you have the $$$$ BMW will be the car you will love and make you smile 24/7

Thats my views ya... many other SIFU will share their personal views too
