I saw in 5th Gear where this detailing specialist charge Sterling 600 for one job. Most of his clients are supercars like Lambor, Ferrari. His job on the car can last 6 months, so you only need his service twice a year...

He start off scanning the thickness of the paint to see how deep he can go. The usual stuff like using pH neutral shampoo.. bla..bla..bla.. Towards the end of the process, he will wax the vehicle and the best part is by hand. He will use his bare hand (no applicator) to rub the wax on and according to him, that's the best way to apply wax because human body temperature helps the wax to settle better and result is better..

Amazing! I tried it over the weekend... and quite like the feel. Felt better than massaging my missy..

For a moment, I thought I am seeing another person post because this person sounded a lot more.......... humble, friendlier, matured and...... nice compare to the following:

Many times when i see articles praising meguair products or other brands, i get confused and have bought most of them. There is little point in using any polish or wax in my opinion. After a few days or when it rain, the effect is gone. Waste of time lah.
The only resonable car product i used so far is "car wash n wax" by polygaze. Aussie product. The rest is mainly gimmick. Especialy all the detaillers. All nonsense. Only imaginary xtra shine can be obtain from expensive products :stupid:

The bold sentences are a little "offensive" to those who spend a lot of time detailing their car at home.. I guess that's why it attracted harsh response from many of the forummers and members.

Despite its personal opinion which is alright to be bias but the tone is not very nice to hear kua...

I join this forum mainly to voice my view after using many polish wax products. many i find does not last. but that AH LIAN simply close threads which go against products which sponsor his site. where is the logic here maa? except to promote his financial motives?
i was simply saying many polish products does not last thats all.
beading does nothing for the paintwork except for visual effects lah.
i used tutlewax, sonax, meguair, simonz. all no lasting lah. one small rainfall is all it take to reduce the shine. infact when i ask the paint shop, they say do not use some polish. it make the paint thinner and prone to swirll marking when polishing next time. a wash with soft cloth and gentle water regularly is the most effective way. forget detailers. this is my view. but no doubt some self serving official member will continue to promote profitable products. just my view.

no one here is crucifying you just because you wanted to share your views and opinion. As this is a forum for BMW enthusiast, you are most welcome to share your thoughts. However, if I may point out :

1. You have accused AH LIAN of making an example of you for no apparent reason. Do you have proof?

2. You say this site is sponsored by certain products? Do you have proof??

3. You have accused AH LIAN of having finantial motives? Do you have proof???

4. You have accused official members of promoting profitable products? Do you have proof???!

Please look seriously into the points I have just mentioned above and think again.

No one is bullying anyone here as this is a forum to promote camaderieship (pardon my spelling) among BMW drivers. No more and no less.

Again, you are most welcome to share your lay opinion but keep it simple and to the point. You have been invited to share our TT sessions and there have been many offers by the members to help you with your little problem.

You have everything to gain by participating positively. The ball is in your court, my friend...

True enough its blunt personal opinion but saying it to the wrong crowd at the wrong time do attract unnecessary "retaliation"..

Who lock the thread is no longer important because it serve the thread starter right. Imagine a crook got caught and brought in front of the judge. All he is asking the judge is "Who caught me the other day? I want to know who!!"

I join this forum in he hope to find suitable waxpolish for my car lah. I have been unhappy with the polish i buy so i voice out. So donk bluff bluff i bash this forum simply simply lah.
i ask who close my thread suddenly i am called insulted and agitated for others to join and be laughed at.
new forumer who join is not less knowledgeable always. are the angry people here afraid of losing their $$$ or mentally unsound? there are many things to get angry like family hurt becaouse of petrol and elec price rise, business suffering, hairloss,

there are forumers who share my belief that maybe now i come to terms new car paintwork is different to older cars. to me this comment sound very fair. maybe i have use wrong products on my car. this is my experience on my E60. but i am willing to try better products. when i find them, please donk bully me or others for saying it.

Next time choose words very carefully. Not wise to reply like master when only grasshopper. Let them think it anyway. See what happen to DAP when some long timers grouped and bully him with words over the years...

For what it's worth, I think Jason never accused any specific person until others mentioned the name. Any way, I love detailing when I have the time. It gives one a great satisfaction and a soothing effect when it's all done. Try it Jason.

Use a better wax product next round.
