Question now is whether A and B still want to settle it amicably out of court.

Since A has a numbers of advisor from the begining and my opponion says that the advisor advises make things worse .
If I am the advisor to B, I will advise him ' Don't bother to settle the issue outside the court. Then continue with defamation suit.

Bad advice dude..... plenty of the criteria for such defamatory actions are not satisfied... which gives A a good defence. Maybe B should get a proper lawyer before he ends up shooting his own foot.

well bro, I am no loyar but the person who making the judgement will look it from various angle before finalising any judgement. Your view is from another angle and mine is from a different angle ...... don't assumed too much ...... you never know .......

My advice above is a neutral advice....looking at the loopholes and possible problems if B were to take such an action.... but like u said, its up to him....

Why are u guys getting worked up on this issue where A and B should have dealt with on a gentlemanly basis.
From what has been posted here, there's no shortage of advisors for B as well. But some of us seem to be supporting A mainly because some of us strongly believe in the adage "Once broken, considered sold" and "you dent it, you mend it".

However, I still not sure why B's side hasn't come forward to give his story the story if they feel that A has misrepresented his side of the story. And why are there story being told offline which is direct opposite of A's story. Maybe B side do not want their identity exposed? Well, their can always sign in with an alternative nick for this purpose.
By spreading story offline and not online, I'm sure some of us here are deducing that those offline stories cannot stand public scrutiny and hence they stay offline.

Anyway, I think all of us here are in favor of an amicable solution which should have been done much sooner since the incident happened close to 2 months ago.

Suggestion to the committee members.

Just close this thread, get on with our lives and do whats best for the club. Besides we are a registered club now with ROS. If we go to sponsors and they see this, It will be ambarrasing not only for the BCM but every single BMW owner around the globe.

I remmember someone saying that we represent the BMW LOGO and we have to be carefull with what we do as we need to get permission from BMW Germany to use the logo or the brand name or something like that. Imagine if this goes to BMW Germany.

This is not being very careful. Is it?????

1) Good call. Shut the thread. Waste of bandwith. Funny how other threads which have less potential to cause segregation / splits have been taken off in the past. Moderators wake up! We don't need camps in a car club. You can already see them forming!

2) All you guys at BCM are really very free ppl. You think the Germans would give a flying monkey's arse regarding this matter? Wake up and smell the coffee.

3) As usual, we Malaysians cannot keep the drama out of something as simple as a car club. Way to go, Malaysia Boleh! Should be used as a script/plot for drama minggu in!! All inflated egoes if you ask me and just a matter of mouthing off 2cents worth and feeling great about it. Just like me now!!

4) A and B - Z go look for lawyers and solve your problems outside the forum.

Why would it be a lesson for him ? If you want to be impartial maybe you should say let it be a lesson for all. Unless of course you're Insinuating that A is wrong here. In any case I heard that you were not present during the incident, so I suggest you advice impartially.

suggestion to bimmer73. If you think this issue is not relevant to you and have no interest to see the outcome, pls stay away from this thread. The club is not helping A to resolve his problem. A has to resolve it himself/herself with B. This thread is the only avenue for A to expose the injustice inflicted upon him by a fellow member. If B is innocent, he/she should have responded with counter argument. As it is, there seemed to be a party interested to protect B's idendity, whom are vocal in trying getting this thread shut. BTW I do not know A and B.

I believe that this is relevant as I, too am a BCM member. My caption states very clearly that this is a suggestion to the Committee Members and that you are not one.

There’s no need for sarcasm as I believe if you have read my message properly; that what I was merely suggesting was for the moderators to close the thread as it has already gotten out of hand with advices from all round until the extent of even violence was suggested which IN MY OPINION is very unhealthy for all. As what Fabian has correctly put,” too many cooks spoil the soup”. All fellow members are allowed to comment but when it resorts to violence and further ugliness……………. I believe the thread should be shut down.

Like I said, it is only my opinion and I don’t think you are in any position to tell anyone to stay away from the thread. This is just for the benefit of BCM.

I am really surprised that Betty Boop did not just slam shut this thread way back given where it was going. This is the biggest show of ego yet in this forum (probably will be surpased by the membership fees thread soon though) and its just very unhealthy for all members and committee alike. I really have got to say that some members (and committee) are more mature than others and I had not expected this vein of discussions to have continued for so long.

We somehow need to try to get back on track and think back why we all originally joined the club altogether - for the love of the car that we drive or admire and to share our experiences for the greater benefit of the community. The official club has just launched and cracks are appearing in several places - I am sure Mr. President is drawing up plans to fix this and restore harmony....right?
