The Diesel engine oil temperature is around 100*C either cruising or rempiting. It's perfectly centre and does not move!
The F30 coolant temperature runs around 106*C (at least true for the N55), spirited driving or otherwise. As for the oil temperature, mine is almost always close to 120*C. (110~115)

Hi guys. My 528i 3litre NA oso has a temp of around 120. Especially when i revved all the way it will increase from 100°c to 120°c.

The only time the temperature reached passed 120°c was last day i went up to genting. I revved it and engine temperature has a significant increae tho outside temp is oni 17°c.

My guess is 3l in-line 6 has a higher operation temp as compared to 4 cyl.

Please go back to the service center, the thermostat may cause the problem. After the change of thermostat, my engine is "normal cool" less than 100C, even under hot, traffic jam in the afternoon.
