http://english.sabah.com.tr/i/_spacer.gifhttp://english.sabah.com.tr/i/ikon_yeni_haber.gif Turkey would never turn into another Malaysia 19.09.2007 President Gül, during his first official trip to Northern Cyprus, has answered the questions of those who fear Turkey will become a country like Malaysia: "How could one think this?" asked Gül, adding: "Turkey is negotiating with the EU for full membership. If there are people who still have worries on the scarf issue, then we should fear those people instead." President Gül has made his first official trip to Northern Cyprus, together with his wife Hayrunnisa Gül. The trip is the first public appearance for Mrs. Gül since her husband was elected president. During the reception given in Gül's and his wife's honor at the Northern Cyprus President Talat's residence, Gül answered questions from the press. Gül emphasized that Turkey's number one priority is EU membership. Upon the question of a possible coup attempt from the army, Gül said: "Clearly I do not overrate people who are expecting a coup. The military's intervention would be the biggest injustice that could ever happen to our country. Everyone in Turkey should accept and digest the different beliefs and ideas. All Turkish people must respect the differences of one another. This is what it takes to 'live together'." http://english.sabah.com.tr/i/_spacer.gifhttp://english.sabah.com.tr/i/_spacer.gifhttp://english.sabah.com.tr/i/print.gifhttp://english.sabah.com.tr/i/vertical.gif

Exactly Silver. I am very upset with Turkey PM for insinuating that becoming like Malaysia is a bad thing, KNNCCB!!:thefinger:

Outsiders should not comment on our beautiful country where the rakyat are living harmoniously and we have just celebrated our 50 years of Independence:top:

Hmmm, wondering what the govt would do about the remark?

where the h3ll on earth we can find a place like MALAYSIA ..................very peaceful

How peaceful is Malaysia?

Folks are afraid to leave their gates NOT Doors unlocked. In some places, they rip the steel gates apart while the residents are in the house during the day.

When we drive at late nights, we have lots of mat rempits riding the street while they are stoned, causing them to act kamikazi and violent.

How safe are our kids right now with a lot sick bastards abusing kids?

How safe are our ladies now with so many rapes going on.

How safe are our community when people are murdered and reported on TV like every 2 or 3 days, with the unfortunate even blown up to pieces.

We are probably one of the very few countries in the world you can find people selling porn CDs on the streets.

I believe there are more points to list down.

BMW pun cheaper tau.lol

Aiyoo, you guys have no sense of humor lah... Apparently even a stoopid remark by a clown like me also can upset you all. Dudes I am still in this country coz I love it. I am a registered voter coz I feel its my responsibility. I have no qualms bitchin' about the country's current administration every now and then, but I know this is the place where I will always call home. Even if had TO GO TURKEY I would return to this beloved country.

On a side note, I do believe that this is still a peacefull country. Lets leave out the current deploring state of the country's security issues for now. What have each and every one of you here done to help create peace ? Help keep the harmony that you speak of so much ? Lets see you start here. I have tried my very best in the past to even keep peace between BMW owners. Failed attemp !!! Most people are just loud mouths and use mafia arm twisting tactics to get everyone to shut up. Anyways, I am going to try and not get royally pissed over this issue, but I will refrain from commenting anymore. My job here is to help administrate the club and thats all. Knock yourselfs out and have fun dudes. SIGH !!!!

Peace
Sith

'I read the news today or boy"....A Day in A Life.Wait for mre...Iam sure we'll get another dose sometime soon...like say......... tomorrow.

Night of terror for siblings

BY ANDREW SAGAYAM - The Star

KUALA LUMPUR: Two children hid in terror as their mother and her housemate were brutally stabbed to death in their four-storey shoplot flat in Taman Usahawan, Kepong.
The four-year-old girl and her brother, six, hid inside a room after seeing Ang Chin Ping, 36, being dragged out from her bedroom by a man between midnight and 9am yesterday.
It was only at 10.30am that Ang’s younger sister, who suspected something amiss went to the flat as Ang did not turn up for work.
After hearing his auntie’s voice, the boy opened the door and broke down in tears as he told her what he saw.
Ang, 36, a beautician who was found sprawled naked in the hall, was believed to have been sexually assaulted.
Her housemate, Wong Tan Yong, 32, a direct sales agent was found lying face down in a room in the flat.
Two Nigerian students, who lived two floors below the victim’s unit, were detained at 3.30pm to assist police in the investigations along with two Indonesian women who came to visit them later.
It is learnt that the students had visited the victim’s flat several times since the women moved in about two months ago.
Neighbours said they heard arguments in Ang’s flat at around midnight.
City CID chief Senior Asst Comm II Ku Chin Wah refused to confirm if Ang was raped as police were waiting for the post mortem report.
He said police recovered a blood-stained knife in the flat.
Initial investigations showed that the assailants took identity cards belonging to Ang and Wong and their handphones.
Police have ruled out robbery as the flat was not ransacked. Ang’s husband committed suicide several months ago due to depression. The two children are being cared by Ang’s relatives.

Anybody got any updates on the 'walk'? Passed by Dataran Merdeka this morning and saw at least 10 busses waiting to ferry people to Palace of Justice.
