Bro just post here la so that every body will know.
Plz...

It happened to be last week only, i changed 2 nos new (bavarian auto) water hose, but still found out my expansion tank level still dropping. So i bring my car back to my workshop, jacked up high, use torchlight also cant find where the leak spot. All kind of examples i've tested (running the engine keep it hot/go out take a short ride slam RPM to 6k) is useless. Even i put on the water tank pressure pump system also cant find the leak. Actually, doesnt mean new hose will never leak anymore, there is 2 places i found leaking, but it only happend when u slam on the RPM 6-7k and car must be running not idling. Then u can see water coming out from the hose due to too much pressure (check both end of hose), especially the under hose which installed bottom left of the fan. There is a termostat sensor connected. The sensor also will leak once the pressure is there. The last part is abit difficult, u need to take out ur air filter box 1st, then u can see clearly the short hose connected to the expansion tank, at the end of the connection between the hose and tank, look underneath it ! and u might found dried water sign. wakakakkakakakkakaka.

Hope this can help most of the people who facing this problem. :DD

Thanks perry and daiichi to have a look at my problem. Managed to discovered some water white stain near the thermostat.

Went to BA and bought the thermostat for about RM140. Got it change at a shop in Klang for RM80.

Now under observation. I think my problem is due to the worn out gasket on the thermostat housing.

Will post picture later cos now on slow broadband.

Hope every thing come bck normal after u change the thermostat and gud luck 2u.

Hi gurus,

Really need your opinion. My water tank sensor lit up and I found my water tank empty so I filled the tank and also was careful to bleed the air out of the tank. After one day the tank was empty again. I took to a workshop which did a pressure test which showed that there is no leak because the pressure did not drop. The mechanic bleed the tank of air and filled it with water. In 24 hours, the tank is again low on water.

What can be happening ? Where is the water going to ?

Terry :(

Hi Terry

You may want to check your heater valve and heater core if your car is equip with heater. The heater coil is located below your AC cooling coil. Your HEater valve will only open when you switch your AC to heater and water from your radiator will flow into the heater. When your Heater Valve malfunctions it remains open. my guess is the water is leaking from the heater coil and goes out at the bottom of yor gear stick. Check it and see> I had that problem with my e39 M54. Water was diappearing when i changed my cooling coil I found out that my heater coil was leaking as there was harden coolant around the heater coil.

Here are some pictures of the new thermostat that I bought new from BA, Klang. Cost RM140.

Oh, i tot 1 place leaking. The underneath of hose near expansion tank also leak ler , wakakakakkaka. Meaning what i experienced is same as urs too. But ur right on changing the termostats. I think mine also kaput same as urs. Aiya, since buyer already paid me deposit, save wallet no need change. Jarance, since u saw the process of replacing the termostats, did u know how to DIY now ? mayb next time we can change it at ur house.
