why must only open engine to see got valvetronic or not, cannot see from outside meh? is there anyway without open engine can know whether my m54 got valvetronic or not?

Very sad to tell, M52 and M54 dont have valvetronic. I just found a website stated which engine got valvetronic --> http://www.unixnerd.demon.co.uk/enumber.html. First engine with valvetronic is e46 and is borned in year 2001. And very sad to tell that Toyota has the valve adjustment since 90's. As i know Toyota AE100 1600cc 20 valve already has this technology.

So the valvetronic technology started using with the N series engine. But not all the new type engine also got valvetronic. Now i started think that BMW engine is not that advance. So may be BMW computerize more advance.

OK, i have read the ultimate guide posted by someone here. It says the best is to get the 2nd gen e39. I guess the best is to get a 525 if u want lower roadtax and better FC? Which is what year?

Don't lah like that...someone cheated you and then you cheated me and my mechanic said the one who cheated me is kepala tak bagus atau kepala tak guna banyak !! I also very malu to tell you this lah.

e39 come with no valvetronic technology, so how now? With your very powerful research knowledge of bmw, can you find out whether can transplant some advance engine tech into e39? Since you already very good to repair headlight adjusters, maybe you can also make e39 very powerful than vvti toyota.

I heard if you apply coconut oil onto headlight adjusters, it can last long time and plastic won't break. Coconut oil has some special ingredients that when it come into contact with plastic, it will make plastic very strong.

From what I gather from contributing posts, go for M54 engine as it is double vanos. Can someone tell me what are the advantages double vanos over single? ANd to check if its M54, best way is to get the VIN number and check? Also, as far as consumption is concerned, I do alot of highway driving as I work near KLIA.

aiyoo yoo... drive bmw must use bmw engine only lah otherwise people say no class. maybe can increase double vanos to quadruped vanos, then e39 become 4 times more powerful.

my headlight the Cepo brand so no adjusters so no need use coconut oil. next time you change adjusters for members, try to apply coconut oil.
