Okay guys..as Redearth and I mentioned in the Putrajaya Drive thread with reference to the Walkie Talkie Purchase by each member so that we will constantly be in contact... this thread is for those who agree with the idea of each driver owning his or her own walkie and used during convoys :DI am gonna meet my friend tomorrow morning to discuss the purchase and brands of walkies that we can buy..will let u guys know the options as soon as i get the details :DWe need at least 20 Walkies to get good discount :DSo hurry up n put ur names lor :DAgree To Own Walkie1. Alright.... please see if it can come with a handfree link as the walkie talkie that i borrowed from Red Earth during the Ipoh drive came with a handfree set and it was brilliant..... could focus on driving rather than talking.....

How much one walkie talkie?

Why don't all buy 3G phone with push to talk. I am sure got discount too :D

Get to MMS each other picture of your ride and videos of your drift

Plus you get a cool looking phone to show off.

Think about it.

valkryie..true la.. but dont we all have to be on the same network or something and subscribe for push to talk...its cool but i think for the purposes of convoy..well i'd stick to walkies...easy straight forward one to one comms instead of relying on telcos :D

Plus 3G phones are expensive bro nothing less than 2k for 3g phones..walkies are less than 1k in any case for a damn good walkie with a 5km range. if not u can even get walkies with 1-2km range for less than 500 bucks ..walkies are cheaper still :D

maybe in 5 years time push to talk would be much cheaper...then we might be able to consider that no?... :D

Cheers for the idea tho :D

I might be interested but it depends on model, features, range and price.

Btw, SE K600i (3G) can be had for RM800

those cheap one RM 99/ pair Aztech cannot pakai? damm cheap lar (i saw it in careffour)

guys,

just met up with my friend who deals with walkies..he gave two models to try out for a week....both Motorola models GP328 and GP328 Plus...range 5km...pretty good enuff for convoys...the thing is..want to buy walkies..better buy one shot a good and lasting one with full warranty and support rather than buying a cheap one that has no guarantee...no after sales support...:D

Will let u guys see the units during TT this coming Friday :D
The models that im trying out will come with the handsfree kit that those secret service guys use :D cool eh :D

eh need someone near me to try out the walkie la..bmwcar or those in tmn tun?.. :D
