Its 1991 model, m40 manual and had around 440,000km on the clock when i got it, I had to spend around RM3-4K to be sure it runs well. That included new tires, bushes, belts, wheel bearings, some ball joints and other minor things. throughout the year , i´ve replced: alternator and aircond pipe. That is all. I´ve traveled around 40,000 this year. It has NEVER left me stranded. Traveled as far as Phucket and everywhere else in Malaysia, no issues whatsoever. Just wanted to share.

Glad to know you are getting your monies worth bro and having a JOY with your udm :top:

happy birthday to e30, happy birthday to e30.... many happy journeys....

You have better luck, i bought my e30 (4 doors, year 91, m40 motor) last year april, spent around 12k on steering, suspension bushing, oz chrono ht rim (regret on this), blah blah blah.....now, struggle on exhaust smell in cabin. thinking want to do whole body repair, but ppg quoted me at least 10k

Nice to hear both you and the E30 are well alive n kicking comrade

Unlike En.xcoolpc, i am just keeping my e30 running. no modifications so far, although few are planned. this helps to keep expenses low.

same with me bro..2 years own 1984 323i...spent RM3k-4k including major overhaul (timing belt putus)...every time touch the hiway, the speedo needle 180kmh/h n above without any issues...travel from perlis-port dickson-KL-Ipoh-Penang...didnt know the mileage its travel because odo meter not working :)

I also tried my best to keep it original, however, 1 thing I discovered during road tax renewal this year.I noticed my reg card stated it was auto trans which is opposite to what I drive today. Everything is hapus. S14 motor dream hapus, original also hapus
