hello everyone,
i am looking for a used F10 520d on the market and came across this unit (attached.)
some research on the internet, points that this model actually have 2 different engine types : N47 (older) and B47 (newer)
some question i had in mind :
1. did your 520d give you any problems? would you keep it after 4-5 years?
2. any gearbox or engine issue for 520d?
3. how to tell which engine is in the ride?
4. any pros/cons of either engines?
5. any pros/cons in getting recon/local units?
6. what are the normal problem to be detected when buying a used 520d ?
7. like to get some feedback from owners here, what is your thoughts on this model? any major issue that i should be aware of? and how about the maintenance cost? i currently own an E39 525i and the maintenance cost is quite high, not sure how does F10 compare to the E39 in terms of maintenance?
