when window shopping yesteerday ...

look at a few 528 in ampang shamelin and okr ...

processing fee is from RM 3500 to 4000 ... which i think is just too much .,.
car prices are from rm 185k to 215k with 1 or 2 years bsri left as told by the salesman ...
all 3 places didnt allow me to test drive the car accept if i pay the booking fees which i think is not fair as i should be given the opportunity to test drive before deciding to book the car ... at the end just test drive the harmon kardon ... which i hope can just buy the speakers after test driving the audio sounds in several 528 ... at the end j just walk off ... no test drive means you keep your car and i keep my money....

at the moment no 528 at bmw premium selection .. though i found a few g30 but cant afford it ..

so the hunting continue next week ...

by the way .. for 2014 to 2018 .. what do you all think on low mileage ... does 90k km consider low mileage for 2014 528 ...

if the car is a daily driver, ur looking at approx 25k to 30k km of mileage yearly (based on my usage anyway). Guess the perception of 'low mileage' defers from individuals. but with dealers, i'd b weary of 'low mileage' units, as it can be tampered with. But those with records at authorised SC, it gonna b hard to cheat.

need advice urgently please ...

went to jb yesterday to see a 2016 520d sport ... comes with bsri till 2021 .. with 38000 km mileage ... it comes with paddle shift and msport seat among other accessories for an msport model ... and also the newer B engine series ...
as am satisfied with the condition of the car .. i paid a rm2000 booking ...
will be submitting for loan tomorrow ..

here what i need advice on ,..

when i reached home .. i checked in the internet and paul tan website ... it was mentioned that the 520d sport only made 50 for malaysia market does not have a paddle shift and msport seat type ... the that i see does have both items .. am afraid that the 2 items are aftermarket item and will cause the bsri to be void ...

please help to advice what should i do .., should i continue with the purchase or not ...

You can check the specs thru VIN (vehicle identification no.) checking sites like https://decoder.bvzine.com/ to check the specs of the vehicle in question. it requires ur last 7 characters of the VIN no.

p/s was in JB over the weekend.....hehe

thank you very much ... you have make my day ...
all the vin checker did not mentioned the paddle shifter ... only the bvzine mentioned it together with the msport seat ...

it makes me at ease as i know the car is genuine ...

was in jb on saturday the whole day ... the car we tested was wobbly and vibrates ... as i guess this car is meant for me ... i need to check the wobbly issue .. i brought the car to Mr Gan of MB Auto Garage Permas Jaya ... sifu in merz but also has a e90 325, which i know him during my merz era but never met him .. the irony is i met him for the first time when am driving a bmw ... he check and couldnt find any fault ... we suspected is the tyre or rim is faulty and fair enough the right rear runflat tyre is really flat ... in fact there is a long cut at the inner side wall ... after we change the tyre ... another test drive session and yes it droves like a bmw should with 400nm under the hood ... im sold ...

if everything is smooth ... will be going down to jb for jpj and of course to bring back the new missus ...

glad u have the found THE ONE....... hope everything goes well from here on...... and an early Congrats to u bro!

brought back the car yesterday from jb ...
so far so good ... only squeaking sound when goes up hump or when going thru uneven road ...

it is a secondhand car so a few things missing ..

where can i get the tyre nut .. the one that we use to open the nut .. it is of different pattern ..
one of the key knob is missing the metal key ... where can i get the metal key ...
pressure tyre sensor is missing as it seems it did not work ..

as the car still under warranty.. i book a service appointment at jalan tun razak but the date i got is dec 12 ... so long have to wait ...

will be hoping that the guys can give me some pointers on taking care of the car and how to drive it ..

Lock nut can be sourced from the service center or Bavarian Auto (price wld defer a lot). I just replaced it with normal nuts. Saves the hassle of misplaced or damaged lock nut (the lock nut is easily damaged, especially when being handled by our 'expert' tyre shops).

The key (not the whole fob, but just the part with the groove) can be replaced at the SC too (not gonna b cheap tho). Or at any competent key maker found at most shopping complexes.

If not mistaken, there is no tyre pressure sensor. The FTM (Flat Tyre Monitor) uses the wheel speed sensor n few other sensors to figure out if there is a flat tyre, based on tyre rotation. Not tyre pressure.

Try other SC namely Ingress in Penchala or Puchong, Wheelcorp in Setia Alam or Quill in PJ. Or AB Glenmarie or Sg besi. Depending whichever is convenient to u.

p/s where do u stay bro? jom teh tarik......

Hi ray27. Thanks for your interest. Perhaps you can communicate separately? My contact number is 019-554 9662

I’m actually looking for 2014 520d as well. But what my concern was, currently in driving Peugeot 308 now, there’s too much faulty showing up once it turned into 5 years, some people told me that car with lots of electric components and sensors memang like this. So I need opinion from y’all is it still worth to get it since it turning into 6 years old real soon.

Dear all, newbie reporting here. I'm keen to get a 2013 to 2015 used 520d, apart from looking at service history, accident record, what else should I be careful of? I mean like hidden problem which likely to happen.

I also noticed that there is 1 unit which is full m sport body kit has been put on mudah for quite some time, price is reasonable but not sure why still put on sale... I'm from jb anyway

Other than that..... the 520d is a work horse with least amount of trouble except for wear and tears parts. Its also cheap to maintain if you know where to get parts and a reliable mechanic to handle the work.
