Bought a 318i last month and will log progress of the work here. From the start, noticed that the chassis is not as rigid as the E46, 15" rims and stock standard suspension doesn't help handling either. Front and rear strut tower bars and underbody braces were added to aid aging chassis.Visiting the car in Ipoh for the first time

No power steering? u will soon understand why the factory installs them as stock. Even race cars have power steering.....nowadays.

Thanks bro, that's why I'm looking closely at this item http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181166102716 manual rack would have a ratio that would make turning easier

Wow bro, Z3 steering rack is quick (2.7) and linear! http://www.rmeuropean.com/bmw-e30-steering.aspx

It seems E36 racks (3.2) are faster than E30 (4.0). Due to the PS delete, I probably would stick to 4.0
