Should I get an E39 without Service Maintenance records?

even with full service record, it won't promise that you won't get a lemon...

just get a decent one and start from there...sometime it make more sense to buy a moderate condition one and start to change everything rather than buy the one u think it is well maintained with higher price but in the end lagi banyak problem...

dzeisen, as long as you love the car, any fault later on is worth fixing :)

I loathe spending RM400 on servicing my myvi, but willing to spend thousands on my E36! hehe

agree with t2ribena that having full service record doesn't mean everything is fine. the one that i bought has good service record and the workshop that the previous owner went to also said the owner took good care of the car. but when i went to another workshop (prefer a workshop closer to home) to do my top overhaul, found out the cooling system was neglected. i still had to change basically all the parts in the cooling system which i am more than happy to spend my money on. so most important is to take it to AB to do a full check up and get a quotation on the parts that need to be replaced and that the car is accident free before buying the car. happy hunting.
