Well I guess profits matter more to BMW. But then again shouldn't the seat vendor be providing the replacement seats in the first place? I wonder if the seat vendor will be dropped as a supplier.

If the seat vendor is not willing to provide replacement, BMW should do the deed. It's partly their fault too for not having stringent check on their supplier.

Bro, is that pic taken right underneath the seat? I took some pics but its cover with some sheets. Did you peeled them off to take the pics?

There aren't any sheets there, i only see pieces of rusty metals that should be found on junkyard rather than a in a RM300k new car!

Btw, below are the issues of my f30:

1) Power window (driver side)
It cannot auto wind up or down / or doesn't wind up or down totally.
Been fixed once, software updated. But same problem occur again few days later.
The funny part is, another few more days, it's back to good. what is wrong?

1)"clunk" sound on steering, while on uneven road / bump
I've been told my parts are being order, changing something on the steering rack.

2) wind noise
the infamous wind noise in F30
how? can this be solve actually?

3) Rusty Seats
unbelievable! my wife actually ask me what is going wrong with her car ??!

Nope, Korea too with an anger management problem owner smashing up his own car just to prove his point.

Looks like only Malaysia is affected by this rusty seat frames.

Anyone from Wearnes Segambut that have changed your seat frames? My SA still says waiting for BMW Malaysia... I wonder what's going on?

BMW Malaysia must be sleeping all the while. No action from their party even after so many issues surfaces.

Basically, BMW does not give a sh*t la. That is how it works. Consumers are cr*pped on. But many still say its all worth it what. Ignore the problem and enjoy the ride. LOL

Just think about this. With a high demand and waiting list, does all that rust only occur after leaving the factory? Interesting?

Bros and Gals,
Write in to BMW facebook, or best message them privately! Let them know which dealer you bought from!
Dealers will promptly contact you to say your parts have (miraculously) turn up.
I got mine settled in two weeks!
No doubt, you may have to leave your car for a night or two. At least you won't be driving around 'rusty' anymore.

I also had a rusty seat frame. Report to customer service and they saud they had order for replacement. The delivery will takes a few weeks.

Actually how to check the rusted seats during taking delivery? Bend down and look underneath?

Yes bend down and check. Well, you can ask the SA to check on your behalf before taking delivery.

Or you can snap a pic under the seat with your phone.....

Guys,

I did my own check on several showroom's car. I inserted my hand underneath the passenger seat, and there you go, a thick brownish rust on your hand. Interesting to note that, there was one 320d with no trim, when i did the check, there is no such issue. When I asked the SA, she confirmed that it is a CBU unit

Do not be fooled sir,

I have a CBU F30 and there are rust on both front seat frames. This is a worldwide issue so your car being CBU or SKD doesn't matter, as it's rusted from the supply line.
