Reverse camera for F10 520d

I got a quote in Sg
to convert the 7 inch screen to 10.7 inch with Built in sat nav, reverse camera, digital TV, for 4.2k
The screen and hard drive will be BMW part but source from China ( Changan BMW) 2.3 k SGD for the hardware
if to go BMW AG, the hardwarw would be around 5k SGD.

Hi guys,

I asked the folks at Auto Bavaria Sungai Besi and they can do it. They have already did one 520d. It's approximately 7 hours labour, so about 1 day's worth of work if you start in the morning.

Price is RM8319.35 including parts, labour and tax.

That's probably why the newly introduced 528i sports which replaces the 528i, doesn't come with the reverse camera and the sunroof. They have removed optional things, and replaced that with upgraded things (which probably doesn't cost anything to BMW to upgrade at factory). That's my analysis, anyone agrees?

Oh, wanted to find out if the 528i sports comes with ambient lighting in the cabin - internal strip lights on the door panels? FYI, 528i comes with it. Let me know coz a friend considering the 528i sports.

yup 4.2k SGD get you the large screen, GPS , digital TV and reverse camera

I have the 528i M Sport. Adjustable ambient lighting. No sunroof is fine, but it will be nice to have a reverse camera and a front one given the low front lip and the even lower front lip when I add the carbon one to it. But for 8.3k...I think I will rely on the ti ti ti ti tiiiiiiii.....

Apparently he said we need to install a (for those who have the 10.2 screen)

1)Aftermarket Video Module: SGD1,000
2)Camera : SGD 400
3)DVD Bypass (Optional) : SGD 500
4)Digital TV : SGD400 (Optional)

So far, He said the difference between the aftermarket module and the original parts are the price and the visual guild lines on the screen.

Aftermarket Video Module = Multimedia Video Interface see attached photos. The camera will be hook up to the interface & the interface will hook up to the CIC

DVD Bypass = I'm not so sure but based on my understanding it is a hardware based that can let u watch dvd while car in motion unlike dvdinmotion which is software base.

I've recently fixed the rear camera for my F10 528i M sport. Unfortunately, not to what I expected. It seems that there are certain voltage incompatible that causes running lines appearing on screen. Still the overall function is there...

normally the line noise is not the voltage, but the Video cable is not properly shielded (same thing with CCTV)

If the lines appear at the Bottom or Top most of the screen, you could shift the screen position to upward or downward via the setup button in multimedia interface module. So those lines will disappear from your physical screen.
