Thanks for the heads up. Anyone here using Conti SSR? Any feedback so far and what is the price range?

Rachel, my experience using conti CSC SSR is that it is bad in the wet. Aquaplanes easily.

Really need help here. My tires are rft conti 225/45/17 n it wears very fast. My odo is just 37k but looks like i hv to change the front tires, at least. My question - how can i change to normal tires? How do i address the issue of spare tyre? Is it possible for me to use, say conti csc3 or mich ps3, n use some solution in the tires that seals itself if puntured? Any advise is much appreciated.

Yes you can change to non RFTs but need to keep a mobility kit in the trunk. It costs MR85 and there's this chap in Penang who will send it to your house by mail. Pm maniac bro for his hp number-Mr Lim, I think, his name.

anybody interested to buy spare tyres? I have 3 original BMW 17inch rim, 188 model with RFT. Suitable for e90. rm650 each. PM me if you interested. tq

anyway to modify the bonet to put a spare tyre?
Why would you want to do that?? The spare is sooo heavy. When I was driving my E36 18 years ago I threw away my spare tyre as it was soooo heavy. It made the car tail happy and really oversteer from understeer. It suited my driving style. Just remember 2 things.

Have a mobility kit and renew your AAM membership so that you can get them to come and change your tyre in case you have a flat one.

PS Docrayboy, did I read it correct it correctly the mobility kit is RM85.00. Can you pm me the number as my RFT will be up soon

PM maniac...he gave me Mr Lim's number but I didnt save it!!

Got the number again. Slime Mobility Kit with pump MR 85 Mr Lim 0194100335. Based in Penang but next week their reps are coming down to KL to hand deliver the kits to you all. So, order now. I ordered 2. All 320d and 520d owners attention!

yup, got it at rm85 including courier charges. It's a simple set but for that price, and if it works, can't complain!
the pump itself's a good investment, as you can use it to pump up your tyres at home. rated up to 40psi. not bad

as docrayboy mentioned above, Mr Lim 0194100335

Everybody should order 5 sets each-pass them to friends and relatives. Damn handy, whether you drive with RFTs or non RFTs. And its a good buy at MR85 each!

What sort of pump is that? Manual foot pump or electric (cig lighter) type?
